Ó

Don't look at me like that! I know, we're all sick and tired of the multiple Pong ports for the PSP. But I just had to post about this one. Why? Well the best thing about Pong is the nostalgia factor, and this version has it in spades. Pong+ is about as close to the original thing as you're going to get on the PSP. The design is great, the style is classic, and the author has a good sense of humor about it all. Thanks for the memories, fish!

Exciting Features:
  • 2 Players on one PSP
  • Twiddly bits: Points / Balls Spin / Ball Acceleration / Player Speed
  • Futuristic AI (for "futuristic", read "basic":))
  • Attract mode
  • 1-Bit Colour
  • ROCK STEADY Frame rate @ 600 FPS.  ish.
  • Silent operation (ie. I've not done the SFX yet)
  • Argument causing menu system for social gaming.
  • (I think I'm running out of exciting features to tell you about...)
  • Screenshot capability!
  • Erm, I think that's it.
This is relatively untested on 2.0+ Firmware, so check it out and report back in the comments! (That is, if they're working - we're trying to get the login trouble sorted out quickly, bear with us!)

It's working fine with the "Brown Ale" eLoader.

No sound if there is any and there isn't a ball.
Is it just me or is there really no ball.

I start a game and the paddle sits there as the computer moves about.
Is the ball supposed to spawn by itself?
I'm confused.

P.S. Using [Select] to take screenshots is a cool feature.

pic shows ball so no ball must just be eloader's fault (btw i used non-patched eloader)

There is no sound, hopefully in the next release there will be, but the ball is there. I played against the computer and myself _ .

Works perfectly on version 2.00. Although no sound, if there is any. Hopefully we'll see this added/fixed in a future update. Other than that, keep up the good work. This is awsome!

Do people actually read the info before posting?

# Silent operation (ie. I've not done the SFX yet)

What part of that don't you understand? o.o

Very well done. Perfectly playable on my 1.5 system; even sans sound. I'll wait patiently for the blips and bloops to be added.

 » analog nub + wifi

something that would push it a little more closer to the original would be the ability to use the analog nub.

multiplayer via wifi would be a good idea too.
