Sony's PlayStation Portable Slim & Lite handhelds - Image 1With the recent release of Dark AleX's Custom PSP Firmware 3.80 M33-4 still hot of the presses, the developer has released a quick bugfix to the latest Popsloader plugin that goes with the new custom firmware. There's no big change with this updated version, but it takes care of a small bug found in the previous release of Popsloader.

Here's a short description of the change included in Popsloader v2 for 3.80 according to its readme.txt file:

  • Bugfix for sleep mode not working when using popsloader
The new Popsloader has no major changes since the last version, although this bugfix is still a welcome release for those of you who want to make sure that it's running fine with your PSP handheld. So go ahead and replace the one you just downloaded with this updated version.

Finally, don't forget to read up on the documentation included in the downloadable file we've provided below to avoid any unwanted console mishaps.

I'm having problems finding the folders it tells me to put files in. Could you direct me to a little more detailed guide or something? Thanks

Sorry to say this but, you are missing the fact that you are retarded, thats all...

Popsloader lets you play PSone games on your PSP with different Firmware's Emulation software.

So you can run your PSone games with 3.40's emulator, or with 3.03's emulator, etc etc...

Some games don't work on some firmware versions' emulators. Tomb Raider games only work on 3.00-3.03 firmware for instance. That's what popsloader is for.

how can you be having so much trouble? there's only ONE file you need to replace, popsloader.prx.

"ms0:sepluginspopsloader.prx."

replace "ms0" with whatever letter your memstick is using on the pc.

you want a "simple" way? do a file search for popsloader.prx on the memstick (which is ms0, btw)... and replace that file... that's it.

as for the previous "working fine"... did you ever try to put the psp in sleep mode while playing a POPs game? you should've found out that you COULDN'T put it to sleep.

Now I'm just waiting to be able to play my games at 333 MHz again. I know it SAYS "333," but it really isn't!
