Preorder Availability for Undiluted Platinum!

ChipWith all of the news cropping up about this revolutionary  mod chip for PSP, it's no wonder that we've already begun to see preorders and installation services. I was able to find one site selling preorders for $89.40 with the following package contents list:

  • U.P. MAIN MODULE x1
  • U.P. USB BOARD x1
  • USB CABLE x1
  • INSTALLATION AIDS 1 SET
  • COPPER ENAMEL WIRE 1 SPOOL
  • FPC CABLE x1
According to the site, they will not charge your card until the item is in stock and ready to ship. Right now PS2Cover is the only site we came across offering preorders for Undiluted Platinum, although there is another website claiming to offer Undiluted Platinum installation for a low price in the UK (so far the price is unavailable but the site says it will be based on the difficulty to install) which you can visit by clicking here.

Our previous posts have discussed the features of this chip, but here's a list for the techies:

Now, we must remind you that PSPUpdates DOES NOT support piracy, this is to be used for homebrew as well as the recovery of "bricked" PSP's. On top of that, this chip is still UNCONFIRMED! No matter how real it looks or how many people believe it to be true, it's still possibly a very elaborate hoax, so keep that in mind when considering any type of preorder.

Ahem...Cough...Then please answer this....What is the difference of the emulators from NES to Nintendo 64 made from PSP and the one thing hate here so much is the PSP loader..... .NOTHING!!!!!!You download games over the internet. You know, for 89 bucks + shipping + installation time, it would practically be worth it to just buy a second psp. You would have an additional battery and no modchip to use more power (low power would still be some power). You could play head to head games with your friends who don't have a psp. Also, no risk to your current psp (installation would be scary as all hell).

Also, with 1.5 there is still the ability to run the higher firmware requirements of games and homebrew allows for any advantages gained with 2.0+. Might as well just stick with one psp at 1.5 (if you have it. It wouldn't quite work for your 2.01+).

Even if it is real, I still wouldn't get one. I suppose it is somewhat of a benefit to those poor guys who are stuck with 2.01+.

But I know ONE thing...

If that chip arrives before 3.00, modchip owners will have serious problems.... Know why? Because who have the mod chip will be unnable to upgrade the PSP to 3.00 or whatever firmware....

The new firmware will detect the modchip, and BANG!... it will not aloud the upgrade...

and when BIG titles arrives, like GT4 mobile :D.... who have the chip....will say...."Bye bye...GT4...."
