The Prinny is a wonderfully weird and fascinating creature, so when we were presented with the opportunity to actually sit down and talk to one by the fine folks at NIS America, we jumped at the opportunity. Little did we know what we were in for, we would never have guessed where Prinny juice comes from and were mortified to learn that every time a Moogle dies, a Prinny gets its wings.

To celebrate the upcoming launch of Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? in Japan, Nippon Ichi is rolling out more collectibles for Disgaea fans. Don't worry, I don't think the Prinny dolls explode when you throw them.

Prinny can now really be a hero in North America: just today, NIS America has revealed the release window for Prinny's very own Disgaea side-scrolling spin-off title, plus an announcement of the formal western title, the official box art, and another big batch of screens! Yeah, he's weak, and it looks like he's not an unstable penguin-shaped bomb anymore, but Prinny's definitely headed for the big leagues via Nippon Ichi's PSP platformer, Prinny: Is it OK if I'm the Main Character?. Check out a ton of new screenshots from the game after the jump.

If you've ever played a Disgaea title, then you're bound to be familiar with the "Dood"-spouting Prinnies. Yeah, the ones who look like penguins. Well, they've finally been given their own title to star in - Prinny: Ore ga Shujinkou de Iinsuka?, or Prinny: Is it OK if I'm the Main Character? for us gaijin - and a demo has been made available on the Japanese PlayStation Store. Is it okay for Prinny to be the main character in his own game? I'm sure you'd say yes, as long as we get to see his game heading to North America. Send in the penguins then! NIS America has confirmed that they will publish Prinny: Is it Okay if I'm the Main Character? for the US.

Prinny's getting his own Disgaea game on the PSP (and yes, it's definitely okay if he were the main character in this one), and Yuusha no Kusa ni Namaikida is getting a sequel. A lot of you were definitely excited when we reported on the new Disgaea game from Nippon Ichi for the PSP, Prinny: Is it Okay if I'm the Main Character?.And many more crossed their fingers for its overseas release.
