If you think you have what it takes to win the world's largest cycling tournament, then French studio Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive will give you an exclusive chance to race the Tour de France once again (virtually, at least) in Pro Cycling Manager - Tour de France 2008.

The game is set to be released on the PC and Sony PlayStation Portable platform, with each version sporting its own set of unique features. This year's iteration of the premier cycling sim will also include impressive "track racing" events, introduced for the first time in the series. Players can also expect even more highly detailed and realistic rider models and animations compared to last year's iteration.

The PC version of the game will include 65 official racing teams as well as 180 real-time playable 3D races. Veterans of the featured cycling title should recognize all the familiar features such as team recruiting, transfers, contracts, training, and handling finances.

Don't expect the PSP version to be a simple port of the PC game either. While it will only feature 18 official teams, the handheld release of Tour de France 2008 will allow players to challenge one another in multiplayer mode via LAN or the PSP's WiFi features.

Pro Cycling Manager 2008 is set to be released in June, so hopeful virtual cyclists willing to take on all 3,000 miles of the game had better get ready. We'll be keeping an eye out for more updates on the game, so make sure to keep coming back to this spot.
