Project PSP-RPG open beta has gone live - Image 1 Project PSP-RPG open beta has gone live - Image 2

QJ.NET forum member Bob Hoil and tipster spylogo3 has just informed us that coder Steve Dragoon has finally released the open beta of the long-running Project PSP-RPG which began roughly around three years ago.

Note that that the game is web-based and compatible with the PlayStation Portable so you don't have to download anything. However, to be able to play, you need to register to the official forums where Project PSP-RPG was originally released. The link to that one can be found in the source below.

For those of you who are wondering what took Steve Dragoon so long to finish this project, he explained that this is due to the fact that he was the only one working on the project. He added as well that his free time decreased through the years.

But now that the open beta has already been released, Steve Dragoon mentioned that he is planning to continue working on this and possibly ask for more support to further improve its quality. The developer posted:

If things goes well with the open beta, maybe I can find more talented people to help me out on the project. I do have to thank a lot of people for the time and help they have put into this project, and I haven't finished the OPTIONS and CREDITS in the RPG.

I just want to let you know I will still work on PSP-RPG and it will always be running. With the RPG and our Flash Games that are still being created, It was the PSP fans that really kept me going.

From running on a free (and crappy) webhosting site, to paying for and building my own creation. It took my money, my sweat and my time. Even though I can't be here all the time, I thank all of you.

Should you have problems running Project PSP-RPG on your Sony handhelds, we provided the forum link below where QJ.NET readers are talking about it. We are sure that they can help you out.

We would like to thank Mitsudigi for the screenshots!
