RSPsar Dumper v3.4 - ready for Sony's PSP firmware 4.00 - Image 1

The last we heard of RSPsar Dumper was last month, when author Red Squirrel updated the homebrew development utility to decrypt Sony's official 3.95 firmware for the PlayStation Portable. Today marks a new chapter in it's lifetime. Since the release of Sony's official firmware 4.00, RSPsar Dumper has been updated to version 3.4 in order to prove that the software has indeed been decrypted.

So in short, RSPsar Dumper v3.4 has the necessary keys to get the official firmware decrypted, and it has been updated to support 4.00 dumping. Or so says the anonymous author's changelog:
  • Added two decryption keys in the pspdecrypt for FW 4.00
  • FW 4.00 support was added to the main program.
  • Buffers have been adjusted to support the decoding of 4.00
Yes, we said anonymous developer. Apparently, the latest compilation of Red Squirrel's famed utility hasn't been the complete fruits of the original author. A new developer picked up the project and is only identified as Anonymous Dev 2, according to MaGiXieN of PSP-GEN. We'll update you as soon as we get more information.

 » Still can't decrypt 4.00

I'm still getting the "Psar too big" error.

I have a fat 3.90 m33-3 PSP. So maybe you can only decrypt the 4.00 EBOOT on a slim PSP?

I tried to dump it with my Slim, it loaded the PSAR fine but I got an error about some PRX in flash0:/vsh/module/ folder and the app exited.

I googled and found this:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/x2w89i

I just can't download it, Sendspace never lets me download anything :/

I got the file downloaded after all (about 50 tries lol) and I checked the files in the dump... Was there a plugin called video_xvid_plugin.prx in previous firmwares?? It's located in vsh/module/ and there also seems to be vdieo_xvid_plugin.rco in vsh/resource folder in the dump.
