Recovery EBoot for all OE Types - Image 1

Tired of trying to understand all the hullaballoo of recovery prx files? Want something that'll help you execute the recovery process from the XMB no matter which one of Dark_Alex's open edition firmwares you're using? You're in luck, as becus25 recently released a recovery prx that's compatible with all the OEs.

Now, one thing you might mention is that this isn't really needed. Since Dark_Alex never really changed the position of the recovery prx, earlier recovery prx files work with pretty much all of the different OEs. However, to stop all the confusion, becus25 took the time to make a definitive one that'll end the confusion.

That is, of course, until Dark_Alex changes the route or formatting required to access the recovery process. In any case, enjoy the application.

what does this do that the files that come with each OE build don't?

Actually I was first because I started typing
before you ever got around to spaming your daily
first posts. While I was taking the time to write
something meaning full and not first post the
thread you where showing off just how much of
an ass you are and I bleieve everybody else here
would agree. Why has there always have to be
flamers and first post retards dragging us all
down making the community look like a bunch of
idiots that know no better than to behave this
way? Why can't people just be adults about
things? I think I need to leave this site because
of all this BS, that or QJ needs to make this site
and editable wiki so we can prevent these
morons from steering posts off topic. But who
am I kidding, QJ will never smartin up and do this.
I guess I just need to abandon this site and
leave it to the morons, children and all the other
members that have the decency not to do this
but hang around any way.

surely you're just as bad? i wrote it as a wind up and low and behold it works, you're clearly devestated that you didn't get it so for some bizzare reason it does matter?

» so the question of all the noob

so how do i restore my psp back to 1.5 from 3.10 OE-A with this/ or with dark_alex's original recovery mode?
by Wicked Insider (Unregistered) - 2007-04-23
 » Hmmm...

Ok, I don't really get the point of this I mean you really
don't need this because you can access recovery menu via
holding down the right shoulder button durring boot up.

Ok so you can now access it from the XMB... ok. Perhaps
I'm failing to understand something here or just plain
missed it. Feel free to clue me in on why having recovery
launch from XMB. It's not going to do you any good in the
event of a semibrick, you'll still need to enter via fresh boot
because you can't boot to XMB. I don't get why this app is
important. Please fill me in but keep in mind, I'm not
flaming so don't flame on me for not understanding if I'm
missing something obvious here. I post this to learn what
it is I have failed so far to understand unless my thoughts
on this matter prove to be correct and that we really don't
need this app at all. I don't really know, thats why I ask,
to learn, not asking so flamers will spring forth from the
wood work to rampantly spew unneccessary flamage
about. Please practice flame retardant when replying and
thank you if you have something meaningful to learn upon
me. Have a good day.

 » You know...

When you're flashing a lot of new files (icons, wallpapers, etc.) it's more comfortable to just select Recovery Mode from XMB than turning PSP off and turning it on again.

And think about power switch. ;)

Also helpful if you frequently change plugins.
Or frequently change which plugins are enabled/disabled.

 » I think

i think this is so that it is easier to access the USB flash process from the XMB, thus making it quicker to flash themes etc. Correct me if im wrong though...

So it's just all chalked up to the matter of being
lazy and or convenience? Pffft.... What ever.

 » just my luck

Just yesterday I spent 3 hours trying to do the recovery process. There was some problem and my backup didn't work. Spent 1.5 hours to find the right files, 1 hour to charge my psp and the rest to restore it. :P

Now today I come here and see there is an app for it. -_-

 » useless

many functions are not included in this mod.

   by becus25 - 2007-04-23
 » Advantage of this eboot.pbp

The advantage of this pbp is that putting it in nobody custom firmware of Dark_AleX will load that recovery.

EXAMPLE: If Dark_AleX creates the 3,41 OE-A and puts new functions to recovery my eboot.pbp loads it with the new functions, however 3,40 RECOVERY EBOOT will load recovery of 3.40.

» sorry for my last post!

Sorry, it was understood little from the description, this application starts from the XMB the rows recovery located in the flash0 of the NAND.
Then it is an optimal one nice tool!

I UPDATED MY FIRMWARE TO 3.30OE-A' AS I WAS FLASHING ICONS AND FONTS MY PSP BRICKED, I AM ABLE TO GET BACK INTO RECOVERY MODE BUT MY PSP STILL WILL NOT RECOVER. IS MY PSP A PAPER WEIGHT OR IS THERE STILL A PATH OUT.

   Re: XtianDG - 2007-04-23
 » RECOVERY

if u can access ur recovery menu u only have a semi brick. try reflashing back to 1.5 using the recovery console. load the recovery folder into your /psp/game/ folder in your memory stick which you can find from the 3.02 OE-A custom firmware zip file.

» does renaming iso's influance compatibility?

I think i remember reading somewhere that game/movie backup copies with names beginning with certain letters of the the alphabet have a better chance of working. unfortunately i cant remember the details, or where i red this. Does anyone know what i'm talking about? I would greatly appreciate info on this subject.
