Now this is a game offer we don't see every day. South Korea is set to launch the visual novel title Diamond and the Sound of a Gunshot, and purchasing Zener Works' suspense title does not only give you a brand new gameplay experience, but a diamond as well. For real.

Sony Computer Entertainment Korea will be packing codes in the Limited Edition version of the said game, and one lucky code will bag you a 0.5 carat diamond on August 25, 2009.

 

Free diamonds don't come by along very often, you know. Diamonds in general, actually. This marketing scheme is totally insane! I don't necessarily expect to receive actual objects that are in the title of my games. Imagine getting dirt along with your copy of DiRT 2. Or, say, sugar for the Harvest Moon games (feel free to let your imaginations run wild).

This has got to be the most expensive game promotion ever. It sure would be nice to see how this plays out.
