Well, it seems like Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has finally thrown the opening pitch to officially kick off the release of its premier baseball sim, MLB 08: The Show for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.

To herald the game's recent Spring release, SCEA has decided to show off its special Opening Day trailer in celebration of the start of the 2008 baseball season. It certainly lives up to the hype of being one of the more realistic baseball sim games of its time with its highly detailed graphics and animations depicting some of the sport's most well known faces.

As an added bonus, the devs on the PlayStation Blog invite everyone to take a look at the official website for MLB 08: The Show and check out the latest videos from ESPN as they talk about the game and how it is "the most realistic baseball game ever created".
