Who, exactly, started the ****-headed policy having to post absolutely nothing just you can say you have the first post? It's ****ing retarded, and it PSPU had any damn sense they would automatically remove these posts and ban the users (and turn off Anonymous posts...). This site is turning in to so many other sites on the net fueled by infantile 12-year-olds that have nothing to say, but just HAVE to share that with us anyway.

Heh, made me forget what I was going to post... For those that have the European Wipeout, and want to download the Gamma Pack directly, here's the link:

It's a zip file, just rename it to something.zip and extract it to your memory stick...

Seriously, this content "Exclusive content" bull**** is starting to get on my nerves.

Just either make them for every version, or let us make our own.

:/

Region Specific Exclusive downloadable content is something which both scares me, and alarms me.

Sony, you bastards!

Whilst I will admit the content coming out of the leeds studio has never been as good since the original Gamma pack, I consider myself to have payed for ALL additional content allready when I purchased the original game.

I had to buy a JAP PSP, and an USA copy of wipeout pure becasue they took so long with the launch, and now they do this.

It makes me anrgy, disapointed, and ....well angry again

"Region Specific Exclusive downloadable content is something which both scares me, and alarms me.

Well, Madam, you have to realise that Sony has to provide *incentives* for people to buy through official channels. And try to wake up and realise that any global company has regional offices that have their own internal budgeting, planning etc, so you have to get into your dense skull that regional separation is just a necessary evil.

Dear oh glory dear of me. I can't believe these beggars simply complaining when something is offered for free.

So Japan gets Coca-Cola packs, Europe gets Puma packs, and the US gets nothing?

US is soon to get a special tornado version where the crafts are boats and you have to pick up stranded black jazz musicians (too soon?). Anyway, I'm glad to hear that Sony hasn't forgoten about we, the PALers. Time to invest in a 512MB memory stick methinks.

by "PAL" region, the implication is parts of the world that use PAL for their TV systems, right? and NOT that the PSP hardware is different, am i wrong?

I wonder what the SECAM parts of the world will get...?

by the by... when we buy games, or music or DVDs... the distributors say we do not OWN the software, we are simply "renting it" that's what RIAA says, so... when we "buy" a game we don't buy all future content to be released.

can't someone modify this to work on a US version of wipeout? like, i'm sure there's just a text code that says "play in EUR only" or something

I'm in the UK and got my PSP imported from canada about 4 months back, i currentlyhave all the us packs on there and was wondering
a) What is the difference gonna be between US and UK packs?
b) Cant you install USUKJap packs at the same time?

Cuz it just seems we are missing out not being able to have all this other content :(

The second poster is right, the first is a lameass. Is it worth it to be remembered as a ****lid who spammed? These comments get long enough without all the crap.

Anyway, I wanna see all these packs too. It sucks they have to name everything differently 'cause we won't know what is what. Hopefully there's a way they can be edited and played on any system, unless the same material will come out here under a different pack or something.

Hi Folks,

But, anyone knows which is the procedure to use the Japanese or USA packs in the european version?

Because I have copy the USA folders in my MS and the Wipeout didn't recognise it.

Could anyone explain how is it possible, if is it?

Thanks guys!!!

Unfortunately, the download packs are encrypted, so it's pretty hard to do any hacking with them... I've tried making changes to the headers of the download packs, and they come up corrupt. You might be able to change code in the game itself to recognize a different region pack, but it would still only recognize that one region...

Just buy Wipeout for your region and hunt down iso images of the others... This is one time where it seems to be justified (not really, I know, but all this does kind of tick me off).

Maybe at the end of downloadable releases they will just release a huge 'everything pack' in every region...

PAL region is Australia and Europe. We're always seperated from the USA and Japan/Asia regions... even when it has nothing to do with tv... so Aussies had to wait for the UK version of PSP, even though we didn't need the alternate languages or anything.

(so heaps of us imported instead :p )
