Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is planning some sort of media event over in London for next month. Originally thought of as a rumor, a Sony spokesman has confirmed that the meet is legit.

That said, the company didn't provide any exact details about the gathering. However, this reply was given by a spokesperson when asked whether it may be about PlayStation Home:

We are holding a media event in London on 6th May and many of your questions will be answered at that event, so keep an eye on the games press the following day.

As for the bad news: The event is apparently an invite-only affair. Could this announcement have something to do with Home's much-awaited public beta test?  It's uncertain at this point, though you may want to mark your calendars for the appointed day of the press meet.
