Sega seems to have something up their sleeve, or is it Nintendo?s sleeve? With the recent popularity of Nintendo?s Nou wo Kitaeru Otona DS Training game, Nintendo failed to sign the game?s designer Ryuuta Kawashima under an exclusive contract. Jumping on this, Sega decided to cash in on the designer?s success and hired him to make them a similar PSP title.

?First announced at Sony's recent PlayStation Meeting conference, Nouryoku Trainer offers players a number of activities designed to hone their thought process. In the game's training mode, you answer questions using quick input via the PSP's four face buttons. The game lets you chose the genre, difficulty and number of questions. You'll find mathematics and pattern-based questions, with your performance leading the a determination of your current brain level.?

Sega plans on releasing the ?Nouryoku Trainer Portable? on October 20th.
