Shrek the Third new trailer video - Image 1

As you all know, video game title Shrek the Third is being planned for a multi-platform release, with versions for Playstation 2, Wii, Xbox 360, Gameboy Advance (GBA), PlayStation Portable (PSP), Games for Windows (PC), and Nintendo DS. But now, we'll just focus on the PSP version, as we found a new trailer video for Shrek the Third PSP, over at French online site Play France.

Basically, the video game lets fans play as Shrek, Donkey, Puss-in-Boots, Fiona, and Fiona's rebellious cousin Arthur. It is set in the Kingdom of Far Far Away, of course, and players will be able to visit locations both present in the movie and not. This trailer video complements all of that as it starts off with the enumeration of evil dudes in the game like Prince Charming, pirates, witches, ice dragons, cyclops, and more. Then enters our good-natured hero Shrek and his loyal friends Donkey and Puss in Boots. Well, just watch the trailer by clicking on the Read link below.

Shrek the Third will be available on May coinciding with the movie release but Play France listed it for under a June 8 release date.

We have for you here some exclusive handhelds goods from Activision for their multiplatformer Shrek the Third. So what exactly do we have for you today? Well apart from the very obvious screenshots for both the PSP and the DS versions, we also have some specific details for the DS.

So basically, you'll be guaranteed to have multiple playable characters, with each having their own unique abilities. And then, there's also the wireless multiplayer co-op gameplay, which can host up to three players. Also, both game worlds will have interactive objects that are reactionary to the characters' input, along with touch screen controls.

As for the PSP, no need to pout, fanboys. We'll be sure to let you in on Shrek the Third's specific PSP gameplay details, too, as soon as they come in. In the meantime, enjoy these screens. All is fair, after all, in the land of Far, Far Away.

Shrek the Third - Image 1

The last time we heard from our favorite ogre was last year. As the third movie nears release in May so does the game's release. Today we have new info on the multi platform title - Shrek the Third from Activision.

In this newest Shrek title, players would be able to play as Shrek, Donkey, Puss-in-Boots, Fiona, Arthur (Fiona's rebellious cousin), and Sleeping Beauty. The game will take players on another adventure to Far Far Away, visiting movie locations plus some exclusive game content. In the game, Prince Charming attacks the city with his merry band of fairy tale villains. Challenges include fighting Charming's evil henchmen, gathering collectibles, numerous boss fights, and single player and multiplayer mini games.

Shrek the Third also features 20 movie-based and game exclusive levels like the Academy Grounds, Pirate Ship, and Evil Queen's Castle (exclusive). And what would a Shrek game be without the signature twisted humor? Each character has a special ability: Shrek’s Ogre Power, Fiona’s Flying Kick, Puss N’ Boots Cute Puss, Sleeping Beauty’s sleeping Swoon attack, and Artie’s Power of Excalibur.

The game also includes puzzle and platform challenges (including three Princess challenges with Fiona and Sleeping Beauty). Six multiplayer minigames also include Castle Attack, Shrekleboard, Frog Herder, Shooting Gallery, Catacombs Leap, and Ships Ahoy.

Shrek the Third's release would coincide with the movie - May 2007. It has a rating of E10+ and would retail at US$ 49.99 (Xbox 360, Wii), US$ 39.99 (PS2, PSP), US$ 29.99 (GBA, NDS), and US$ 19.99 (PC). Here are some screens for the Wii, PSP, and DS versions.
