You know that reaaally addictive classic game Snake where you basically just have to eat the food items and avoid hitting the walls? Yeah, we know we've already featured tons of homebrew games that builds on that concept (there's Gambiting's PSPSnake and also Shine's PSPSnake, which Youresam ported to FW2.8), but before you knock this one down, you might wanna check out the stunning visual work that MrMr[iCE] did with his SnakeSP. this aint worth downloading, you can go off screen and get lost, you cant die, whats the point in releasing this yet???
i know he wants some feedback so here it is-
finish the game first!!!
its like cloning pong and not including a ball!!
this looks like flow for ps3 nice work dude :P
this is like trig wars' graphic! real nice! hope to add an option to turn wall on or off next release?(let us make the choice)
normally i dont really download hombrew games, i get the emulators and apps......but this time i was really impresed and man, it rocks like hell for a hombrew...gongrats to MrMr[iCE] on this one....for sure the best snake clone ever !
woah, those are sick gfx!
That "snake" is a knock-off of the creature in flOw
Knock off / Innovation... how thin is that line anyway? Doesn't matter how people phrase it, this looks like an incredible homebrew app in early phase. Snake/Flow SP is going to be a hit homebrew game... mark my words
usually i don't bother with homebrew games but this one is like a homebrew revolution. neat.
Dude that's the coolest Snake clone ever. I'm downloading the crap out of this.
This IS essentially a fl0w clone, not a Snake clone
This game looks awesome! cant wait to dl it
Man,congratulations, your snake is much better than mine!I really like it!
This hombrew beats the crap out of any other homebrew games, it looks AWESOME! i liked lot the style! I'm keeping it for sure, looking foward for the next release! :) GREAT FRIGGIN JOB! keep it like that!
Works on firmware 2.8 :)
WOrks with SE-C
the title is SnakeSP...my bad i added the P when i uploaded on youtube. And yes, it is inspired from the flash version of fl0w. Glad you guys like it, chime in on the release thread if you get it running on other FW, and youll get props in the next release.
it looks like a catepillar :o
yea thats what i've been thinking great job man looks very awsome
first first first first first first first first firsdt
the behavier of a snake is somewhat unusual and you probably get annoyed by eating yourselfs tail once a minute, but nevertheless this is the best bit of HB games in quite a long period of time.
the visuals on this are great all it needs is sound and a way to die
not really, it needs a pause function..
and maybe a zoomout thingy, grow bigger (evolve) if you eat enough... now where did i see this again *-)
Looks pretty good and more flexible 360 degrees movement. Kinda looks like the food takes a while to respawn though, perhaps a fix on that?
ok on constructive criticism.
1. Make a way to die, add walls around the edges.
2. Make the snake die when it hits itself.
If you do these this game will definently be a great success and will most likely be in the same league as tetris on the time consuming part.
This is an incredible game please please please please make some improvements.
you have all the tough stuff done, the basics are there just build on it now :-)
this looks like flow good
job on make this
all u need is for the snake to die and a pause function
GOOD JOB !!!!!
give me a link to flow.
i want to see which is better.
apparently porting a flash game is a slice of cake.
if im wrong then the flash version is probably worse
search google for fl0w (with a zero, not an 'o'). This is not really a 'port' of the flash version...I designed the code from scratch...I only decided to use similar shapes since the ones in fl0w looked so simple to do, yet conveyed the idea of a living thing very well.
When i read snake in the title, i expected another cheap snake game, but I must admit, this is one of the nicest snake games I've ever seen! Looks beautiful, great movement, great animation and artwork. Awesome job! Looking forward to updates!
The graphics are incredible for this game - could be considered an official release if it was by the game developers. yes, it is an unfinished product but hell, with the way it looks and the number of comments it's getting here on QJ, i'm sure that it will be coming in the near future.
This looks to be one of the best homebrew games in graphical respect and also in the retro gaming market...
Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see a more complete version.
doesn't work on psp system version 3.1
