Yoyofr has posted some updated information about the new version his SNES emulator, Snes9xTYL. According to his update, the sound emulation processing will be put into the media engine in the new version. The feature is nearly ready now. And there is another exciting new feature for the new version – wireless multiplayer!! Yoyofr said on his website, that the game is able to run at 60fps when playing a vs. battle on Street Fighter (Cheers!). He has also released a teaser video of the function in action. Download: [Snes9xTYL v0.4 Wireless Teaser] Thanks for the news hint, ecuagator!! =D |

all i can say is that i know lots of ppl in my city (winter peg).. by word of mouth every one knows me as the guy that can mod psp's.. and at wrk ppl got psp's b/c of me.. when i went to work today.. i've told every one about this new peace of home brew coming out.. every one can't w8 ..am am shocked that there is not much coments on this news.. all i can say is keep up the good work and bomer man 2 player is going to be too much fun
Oh my god, that wireless action is really impressing to say the least!
I didn't really think it was possible, very good job!
Unbefkinglieavable! Finally versus play in emu :}
But man, that bloke blows chunk at SF2 lol!
wow this is really amazing. very good
Come on working in the 2.5.... *hopes and prays* ;)
I know that this may seem like a stupid question, but I just wanna ask it just in case, even though I'm like 99% sure I'm right. When he says that this video is a "teaser", he means that he's just trying to tease us by showing us the video before releasing the actual download to make us more anxious for it. It doesn't mean that he's teasing us by faking it (even though it looks pretty legit). As mentioned, I'm like 99% sure that it's real but just to make people more anxious, but I just wanna make sure. Anyways, nice job, now I can play against my brother who plays SF sometimes. Another question (sorry), does this work only for that SF game or does it for all multiplayer games, or do you just not know much information on it?
Amazing... Can't wait for the next update of Snes9xTYL (:
Man... the day after i upgraded to 2.6 (because of the lack of interesting homebrew to me), this comes out.
Man...
Oh well.
wow, RvN I think you're like the stupidest person ever to post anything on this site ever.
I mean after hundreds of people cry about how they unknowingly upgraded, YOU go and do it out of boredom? Like you KNEW about everything, got bored, and decided to flush it down the toilet? Unbelieveable.
I have to admit, Im rather impressed with this one tho. the way I see it, both players probably HAVE to have exactly te same rom in order for it to work. otherwise I could see it crashing over and over. but I AM impressed to say the least with this one. if these guys could just get both the analog and D pad to work at the same time, I might consider switching to this emu.
next step is Internet mulitplayer support huh?
nice work tho
I never thought I'd see the day - that's fantastic! Can't wait!
The only thing that sucks is i'm the only person I know with a PSP. Not a single one of my friends or anyone I know at all has one.
Otherwise this would be great. If it supports 2 players in all rom's, then that would be about the coolest thing ever.
WOW.Yoyofr , I am very impressed.I cant believe you are the one to bring this to the homebrew scene.I want to thank you VERY much if you can get this through.I will REALLY look forward to this. Im currnet working on an app called "PhireFox".It is a psp web browser that is currently under lots of work by me and my friend. I'll look forward to your progress on this nice piece of homebrew.
Cant wait to see it..!~!
Illegal Machine- Stop flaming.
Though, about internet play, until (if) it comes around, you can always use Xlink Kai or XBC.
Hmm...what about Kailiera support?
I know i might sound stupid...but...the video looks very real....thats not what im questioning...but i am questioning the white psp....i dont know much about the white psp but i would think that since the white one just recently came out...i woud believe that theres no way there would be a 1.5 version of it...now i know i might be wrong and if i am please correct me...but i didn't know that the white psp was even able to be turned into 1.5 and if its not...then the video gotta be fake...but i dunno...correct me if im wrong

The white PSP has been out for a long time. The video is legit, the only problem I have with it, is the wireless light is not flashing. Other than that, it seems legit.

I believe they came out with firmware 1.52 (not sure) then you could just upgrade to 2.00 then back down to 1.50.
But there's another problem, why release a teaser instead of releasing a beta?
Tell the coder he sucks at street fighter ;(. Lol, im just kidding ofcourse. I cant wait for this to be released and playing super bomberman with my friends.
Shut the hell up illegal machine. Is it your PSP? No, I didn't think so.
To be fair, I lost pretty much all interest in homebrew anyway. The only thing that really kept me going was PSPRadio, and I could run that reasonably well on 2.0. But I found that I still really didn't use it that much.
I've been messing around with homebrew since 1.5 was "cracked." And sure, emulators were fun at first, but the novelty wore out. I could simply play the roms on my xbox if I really wanted to. I stuck with 1.5 as long as I could, then GTA came out. I diligently upgraded to play the game. Months pass, I find I really don't really use any homebrew... and I say, what the hell, I'll upgrade to 2.6 (mainly because I wanted to try out the RSS features).
And this would be the only reason why I'd want 1.5 again. Simply because many of my friends have PSPs as well.
But was the firmware upgrade a dumb move? Eh, possibly, but that's not your damn decision dumbass.
Besides, the next wave of games are going to require 2.5/2.6/3.0/1256.5 anyway. Oh that's right... I just bought a $250 dollar machine to never play any recent games. If I could do emulation and recent games, then that'd be great. If I had to choose, I'd pick recent games.
methinks most of you elitist ****s should be using a gp2x instead.
yeah, I've thought about getting a gp2x for emus instead. It may be worth it just to have a complete mama emu.
But, for now, I'm going to wait a bit longer. It's just a matter of time.
Honestly, I think part of the problem is that up until now, there haven't been many (if any, and IMO, there haven't been) games worth updating.
By summer, however, there will finally be over half a dozen games that will really make me want to update.
Only time will tell, I suppose...oh, and I meant MAME emu above, not "mama emu" :P
its just 2 videos playing at the same time !!!
j/k im just bored and suprised nobody said that
matticon:
Yea, you're right... there really isn't anything decent yet worth upgrading for.
The only game I'm really interested in the near future is daxter, and I'm fairly sure that'll require a 2.5 update or higher.
But I upgraded for the RSS... which I think is extremely useful.

so for the wireless multiplayer, do you need a wifi connection? [ wireless internet ] or can you just use two psp's with theit wireless capabilities?
Thanks
