Here's another bit of update for upcoming PlayStation Portable exclusive Patapon. After teasing gamers with several screenshots and gameplay videos, Sony Computer Entertainment America finally announced the title for release in the region.

Patapon, for those who haven't been paying attention to this, has a mix of rhythm and RPG elements that requires players to do a series of button presses to create a beat. This, then,
will prompt your army of little creatures to move and fight or scare enemies.

Anyway, after announcing Patapon for North America, Sony UK immediately followed suit and informed the whole of Europe that the game will be coming to their are as well. The representative added that they want the game to launch simultaneously for both markets.

Speaking of releases, SCEA added that Patapon will be made available some time in February 2008. So if everything goes according to plan, our European friends will be able to get their hands on it as well during that same time period.
