PSP wireless internet - Image 1PSP gamers interested in getting free hotspot Wi-Fi service are in luck. Sony and T-Mobile teaming up to provide PSP owners with free internet connection through your nearest T-Mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.

This offer is similar to Taiwan's free wireless internet access for PSP users last year. There's no special requirement needed, except for upgrading your PSP to the latest firmware update.

After updating the PSP's firmware, all you need to do is to go to the nearest T-Mobile hotspot and select the "Use Wireless Hotspot" option in your PSP's menu. Just follow the instructions, and you're connected and ready to go play online matches or just browse the internet through your PSP.

Well, I hope Dark_Alex is reading this...

 » two things

Wait a minute...

a. Doesn't the PSP already do this? I'm pretty sure 3.71 has this built in (as does m33 3.71)... Unless it's just not free? Cuz last time, they asked me for a password

b. Also, sorry to be a grammar freak, but the correct way to say it is "PSP gamers who are interested in getting free wifi (but don't)..."

Technically Don't doesn't seem to work either, but it agrees with the noun "gamers". As in "Gamers don't have wifi" as opposed to "Gamers doesn't have wifi"...

Iamageek...

Yeah they already had it but it was just a 6 month free trial. I guess the whole monthly fee thing after 6 months is gone now. I don't think it's even been 6 months yet since the PSP T-Mobile feature was added onto the PSP. This thing is crap though. You only get internet access at places like Starbucks and T-Mobile stores.

Sony just wants us to upgrade so we can't have homebrew by putting stuff like this in the firmware updates to try and temept us. Well, I'm not temepted to upgrade. you better come up with something a hell of a lot better than this if you want me to upgrade and lose homebrew capabilities. And, we all know that'll never happen. So, nice try sony. Nice try.

P.S.: I will correct you now "iamback". you said, "Technically Don't doesn't seem....". Well, "don't" should be lower case and in quotations like so.

 » 3.52 had this

3.52 had this feature. Whats different about this? Or is everyone not paying any attention to OFW as much anymore? Maybe next time I need to submit some crappy news on the net. Its not just qj displaying this, DCEmu has this on their RSS feeds too

Yep just checked ... from what I can see it's the same limited time offer, 6months. Man TALK about OLD NEWS

 » lolz

Ok, if it's only a trial, then YES, this is definitely old news...

maybe next up we'll get news about the "new" location free player being implemented :D

normally if someone was giving us this news for free I wouldn't b!tch about it, but come on, you're getting all these payments from these ads just to give us old news?
