Gangs of London Box ArtGangs of London is one of the most anticipated titles of the summer.Using the same free-roaming type gameplay as Grand Theft Auto, Gangs of London brings you to the underworld of London, and be at the forefront of the gang wars.

Recently, this game was leaked onto the web in the form of torrents, and eventually will find themselves on upload sites and FTP servers. Sony couldn't ignore this leak and had to take action and give warning to those who have seen this game and may have been tempted to download it (or to those that already did..naughty boys/girls - that's illegal). Sony confirms the leak and state that the game leak was of an incomplete version (preview version) contains various bugs and has not gone through many of the finishing processes.

Remember; please do not distribute links to the leaked version of this game in our comments section, those that do will be immediately banned without hesitation. We do not condone or promote piracy on this site, so we would appreciate to see that same attitude from our members/viewers.

Ain't it amazing...Sony can't do anything to stop it spreading - why don't they focus on delivering the goods instead of crying about leaks!

Busy downloading it now already (better be a good beta for the 914MB!).

"We do not condone or promote piracy on this site"

First google ad on page:

"Don't Download PSP Games until After you read this shocking review"

Ad follows on to:

"I was frustrated at the expensive prices of new PSP games so I searched on the internet to see if there was a way to download the same games you could find in the shops for a fraction of the price."

Lol

Any1 find it funny how the makers are condemning criminal acts, yet are making a game about them? Irony at its finest.

 » Well,

I think all games should be downloadable via Sony's servers with a price as an ISO which is signed by Sony like the demos..And it should be locked for your MAC address so you can't share it with the rest of the world..I mean like the PSX emulator that Sony will relese in the future, they say that they deliver the games via internet..
And the main reason I want that is that I can't find all the games, when I go to an official Sony shop, there isn't too much games, there are like 4 - 5..
I think it would be better so everyone in the world would have a chance to enjoy all the titles..

 » Own the game

Its allright... GTA is much better (personal appriciation) but this game has different replay abilities such as the pub (pool, darts etc..) or the "kill the zombies" or the tourist mode which is pretty cool.

For example, you go next to a pedestrian and ask him for lets say "Big Ben". They go like "eee... I think its that way..." and point out a direction. You then go there and hope that he pointed the right direction so that you can photograph the thing. Theres also hidden guy holding a flag option (hidden packages style).

Anyways,

sorry Sony, but I'll always be a step ahead of you

peace :D

Dont pirate this game, its not worth the wasted bandwith.

 » Just to point out

I know some people are dissing this game... I don't want to take any sides... but here this:

Compared to most *****ty games that came out for the PSP, this one has a bit of potential. The gameplay is neat, the replay abilities are great, the storyline is well tought off and the parental level is way up!

Try it out seriously, its a 1GB game, so you know the content is there. And by the way, the graphical novel style is very nice... adds addiction to the game.

Anyways, try it before dissing it.

peace :D

 » Thanks for telling us

By acknowledging it, they probably got a hundreds of warez kiddies to search the torrents for the ISO.

» They need to 'tighten up' the Card game

If they would add battle animations when conquering territorys and place more emphasis on some of the cards and effects, that portion of the game alone would sell this game! Get the card game to feel a little like Advance Wars meets Yugioh Series on the Gba/DS and the whole product graduates to an entirely new eschelon.

The main game itself is OK. But, it DOES feel a bit derivative of gta. The game needs to feel more 'free' in mission modes. You should be able to do whatever u wish, even on a mission. The missions are too linear 'in-game'.

Overall, I think this is a GREAT game that could use more push and intensity in it's various modes of gameplay because GTA already exists and has set the precedent for this style of game.

The final product should be tweaked for even more immersion and polish, even in the mini-games. That type of effort will push the game and the psp in a direction that is sorely lacking on the psp now. This game has potential, but at it's current state, it will just get lost in the sauce of other mediocre titles and ports that have promise, but lack polish.

 » Sony asskissers

I'm getting really tired of the Sony ass kissers and people who defend multiple billion dollar corporations because they somehow think it will affect them in some way. Homebrewers and pirates make up a tiny percentage of PSP users, as long as the general game buying population keeps buying games, they'll keep getting firmware updates preventing them from downgrading or exploiting their firmware for the purposes of pirating. Not too many people will risk a $200 device for the purposes of being able to run "Mario don't drop the PSP". People who pirate are already figured out in their tax deductions, and if you don't think so I suggest going to community college for economics 101. I don't mind a policy which prevents people from sharing pirated works, but to release news articles saying, "No bad boy", is just plain retarded.

All this being said, I downloaded the Gangs of London iso from torrents :)

 » usenet is my homeboy.

i totally agree with the comments saying this article does more harm than good.

but i agree even more that this does little harm at all. just like every system. the pirating community is MUCH MUCH smaller than the people who actually buy games. only exception to this might be the dreamcast or xbox1. even then, it might be up to 10% of users pirate.

as for torrents. old, slow, lame.
pirates should only use usenet and irc.

I'll stop downloading ISO's when Sony stops being a ***** and limiting the homebrew.

I just D/Led this to get back at Sony.

No, of course they won't. :)

I was parodying the typical excuse that most people seem to have.

But, Sony SHOULD improve its support of homebrew -- or lack thereof.

Why does sony care if the game is out? The game sucks anyways. This game is a bunch of adverticing and nothing to back it up.
