...It is unfair to put the Nintendo Wii and PS3 in the same category. The Wii is a sub- £ 200 console and does one thing pretty well. Compare that with a £ 400 piece of hardware that plays next-generation games, allows users to access photo files and has built-in Blu-Ray technology. |

With up to 3 possible decent games coming out in addition to the 2 in the already killer linup how could they loose?
Until then keep buying those blu ray movies as ordered by your masters at $ony. Buy a PS3 for each member of the family, and for each room of the house too. Then just wait and hope for sony to complete their end of the deal.
380 games are coming out by next year ha ha! Only 5 of those will be exclusive blu ray PS3 games for your region though. Sony would rather lie to you and tell you the some crazy exaggerated number because most PS3 fans are idiots.

In addition, Sony claims you can watch any movies and listen to any music on the ps3, yet what I see is that some specific files are playable and others don't (think the playable ones are mp4, mpeg, ect.), Sony, don't you know most of us use windows on our computer and have our files as wma? Well the 360 can play more files. Now, one strong way the ps3 sucks is the games. The lineup was weak, and you offer us Killzone 2 while 360 offers us Halo 3. How can Killzone 2 compete with Halo 3 when Halo 2 was the best game ever and Killzone for the ps2 as far as I'm concerned suck, and in case you haven't played it look at the ratings. What about online play? 360 offers me a great interface, all my friends are on xbox live, and awesome downloads, the ps3 offfers laggy online experience, almost no downloads for the ps3 (well it may have a hundred or two but it doesn't compare to the millions of downloads for the 360), and none of my friends play on playstation network. Also, did you hear that when Phil Harrison was asked about what would Sony do to compete against 360's online capabilities Phill Harrison took over 10 seconds thinking saying uhh uhh uhh uhh uhh to then say "I have no comment". Wow that sounds very promising to me (laughs sarcastically). Anyways the PS1 was a great console, so was the ps2 (although I preferred the xbox) but now the ps3 can't compete, Sony don't got the neat software on their side, in fact the only thing Sony has at the moment is the Playstation brand (or name) but I doubt that will work this time.

Because there's LOTS of Wiis and DS's out here. Every time I go to Plaza Las Americas I see kids and people with their DS's, especially on Borders so...I dunno where you really live. Nintendo is pretty common here.
Got 4 friends who have their PS3s and are super happy with it. In fact, they know history is repeating (PS2 and PS slowly developed before becoming popular). So yeah, enjoy your Xbox 360 while it lasts.
Oh and...Sony PS2 cables work with the PS3, I have my PS2 component cable around here and will use that one with the PS3. PS2 owners have got no reason to complain either, they can ask the original XBox owners about how lucky they are compaired to those guys... or they can just go and play their Final Fantasy XII or God Of War 2.

I work at JB-Hifi in Australia I have sold a lot more PS3's than x360's since release of the PS3.

Flame you all want, but for those of you who haven't even worked with games or in retail in general have no idea of the ***** some companies put you through...

Need I mention the lackluster performance of the 360 in Japan and Europe. It's only doing somewhat well in the U.S. because M$ practically owns the place.

I know of a close freind who recently had to send his brand new 360 in because the disc tray would not open. They sent him a refurbished system that overheats all the time now, and they refuse to send him back the game disc he left in his old one.
I could go on, but I will give you a chance to allow me more ammo to use.

If a disc was stuck in the XBOX, I don't know why you wouldn't pry it out, because it would probably be damaged just by shipping. If it was a MS made disc they could probably replace it. Just keep complaining they usually give in after a while. If the new XBOX overheats it is broken or just gets too hot what?
I took my 360 apart to install an XCM fan upgrade and thermometer and some Arctic silver 5 thermal compound under the heatsinks. I also removed the top RF shielding, which reduced the temperature of my 360 by quite a bit. Whole upgrade cost $70. Any potential overheating problems solved. I've never had any problems with the disc drive, and replacements can be bought for $50 on e-bay. If you know what you're doing, it's a very serviceable system.

You are a lame and lazy person who base your decision on what are marketed or easy. Or you take what are inside you to hardly make a decision on what for you is the best.
Only thing that have to be shared is the best game experience you reached and with console you have not really matters because everyone have different ways of liking the same thing.
PS. Gears of war is amazing and I have a x360, i will buy a PS3 soon i save the money because well the price is higher but waiting a month to save the money not really a problem. I played the wii in my friends house and not really want one.

PS. Gears of war is amazing and I have a x360, i will buy a PS3 soon i save the money because well the price is higher but waiting a month to save the money not really a problem. I played the wii in my friends house and not really want one.
IF someone really care about what developers want is really only $$$ and if im paid to tell that i prefer something sure i do.
Remembered that there are people who think about x360 2 well im pretty sure no cpu in the future could beat CELL in price/performance (only and the intel laugh with its CORE DUO that prices at 9 and lose to CELL)so probably IBM dont have other thing besides CELL to sell in the future for this class of application. and intel or amd not really could beat the CELL in the same aspects so M$ will be in trouble for the next generation.
