Sony Connect PSP

Sony has recently updated their Sony Connect website for viewing on the PSP. Content on the site located at psp.connect.com is available to the masses, with everything from cars to TV shows to game trailers available on the site in PSP video format. The amazing thing is that the downloads appear to be in ZIP form, but I guess that works differently when accessing it through a PSP than a PC, allowing you to download them in MP4 format.

This update to the Sony connect website is probably in preparation for the next PSP firmware upgrade, which could contain Video RSS feeds. This would make sense as all of the content on psp.connect.com is organised into channels just for you! Whether you're a petrolhead or just a fan of the TV show Rescue Me, there's something for you to download and watch on your PSP throughout the holiday season.

Thanks for the tip Pacos!

 » More F'N WiFi

Sony needs to start thinking about the peole who cant get WiFi, or live around "hotspots".

If they're pushing for the online part of the PSP, they need to do something like built in WiFi or something... I mean damn, even my cell phone has internet on it, and I dont need any hotspot or WiFi for that. So why cant Sony do that?

PS #4... Your not even close to the first post

Where have you been?
Sony have already plan for GPS in process at the moment.

Maybe it will be out at the same time when the new camera (eToy) release. Or 3.0 fireware with PSOne emulators.

Wifi thing is nothing to Sony. Government or ISPs are responsible for that

 » This isn't new...

Sony's Connect site has looked like this for a very long time. What hasn't been updated is the PSP-formatted version of Connect.

GPS has absolutely nothing to do with internet connections, and phones connect to the internet through Cell phone towers, and that would recquire sony to make all new hardware and all of this other crap.

But within the next few years, wifi will be available to the entire country for free through google ;)

When accessing from the PSP, it shows the webpage but three or four seconds later it redirects to the old PSP Connect website! (http://www.connect.com/psp/content/)

» Will be able to download direct to PSP soon!

Sources inside Connect say that RSS feeds and direct download to PSP will be up soon, perhaps within the next several days.
