Joreofiorio35 has released version 2.0 of his stepmania port for the PSP, written in Lua. Think of this game like Dance Dance Revolution, but using the D-pad instead of your feet. Joreofiorio writes about it: “

Basically, this has a lot of new features, like a song selector, background support, song banner support, Evaluation screen, MODS, and many more, just look in the ZIP file for the README for all of the new features.”

You can get it in our PSP Download section [here].
You can discuss this in our active forums [here].

Currently, this program will only run on PSPs with firmware version 1.0 or 1.50. If you do not know which firmware version your PSP has, or if you need help installing this program on your PSP, check our Ultimate FAQ.
If you have a higher firmware version than 1.50 on your PSP, please check the information below:

Looks primo, very polished.

Only question is, seeing as this game is very very narrow, would you consider making this game vertical, ie; hold the psp sideways. you only use the dpad right?

The PS2 setup (using both D-pad and buttons) works very well and is marvelously intuitive.

Very nice, btw :)

You need LUAPlayer for this. Once downloaded at www.luaplayer.org, place this in the Applications folder and start up LUAPlayer (In Lowser). Then select JMANIA and press Start.

WOW, great job! Much better than my BMR. 1 suggestion though, make it a bit slower.. it's too hard..

Seriously, it looks good and all, but it needs sound in the actual game. And it WAY TOO FAST. It's literally impossible to play its so darn fast.

wow, seriously this is tight. i have no idea why this wasn't made a UMD game for the PSP lanch date way back when in Japan.

j o n o: because no one gives a damn anymore about DDR in japan (its dead since 3/4 years ago). Its Pop'n Music, Beatmania IIDX and Drummania that are popular now. But anyways, Stepmania is open source, and not an official game by Konami.

Nice release btw [: keep up the good works
