Some new screenshots have surfaced for Capcom’s upcoming game Street Fighter Zero 3 Double Upper. The game will include 37 playable characters, bundling all the characters from Street Fighter Zero 3, plus additional characters from Capcom vs SNK 2 (Eagle, Yun, Maki and so on) and Capcom Fighting Jam (Ingrid). No release date has been set.

Why, oh, why would capcom do this? Ingrid? Give me a break, she was only featured in the single WORST street fighter game ever! Capcom Fighting Evolution did just that, FIGHT evolution with it's horrible character line up and even worst graphics. Hmmm hold on...can we be looking at a reapeat?

Anyone praying for online play other then me?

I hope this one is good, even better than vampire chronicles darkstalkers, and I also would LOVE as many as you do to see a Marvel VS. Capcom 3 on the handled, WOW!

What about issues with the D-pad? :(

   by Anonymous (Unregistered) - 2005-09-02

hey why they dn't do street fighters 3 third strike? it's the better street...

this game is gunna be really difficult to bust out combos on either the dpad or analog stick.

Try to play Street Fighter 2 on one of the snes emulators and you will get an idea of how bad the controls will be.

game looks like ****. they did a simple resize to ws and now all chars look like gnomes.

The controls will be fine as long as the analog stick will be configurable. KOF 98 and Samurai Showdown play perfectly on the PSP with the Neo Geo emulator and is set to use the analog stick

yah the psp's d-pad is crappy, i can't play kof or darkstalkers, tried snes's killer instinc, and is difficult to play too. is no responsive at all, plus, i hate screen streching in darkstalkers everything looks blurry by streching, now i know why they said arcade perfect.. yeah.. they just put the same sprites and bg, then added a nasty streching future...and put a brand new-fresh price tag on it...effortless...

I agree with the D-pad problem. Doing the motion for fireballs or 360 is damn difficult. But a temporary solution I use, is to use a piece of soft cloth and put it over the D-pad. That way, it's much more easier to make the move.

I think PSP needs a Tekken game or a VF when the controls are simple but the fighting is deep as hell.

the reason why the D-pad is crap for beat-em-ups is coz its only 4 way... always play them using analogue... (just try most of your emulators that need 8 way... it dont work if at all on the D-pad)

Try Bleach, (or Vampire Chronicles) With D-pad then Analogue, you will see Analogue works where D-pad is near useless...

Ingrid actually came from the doomed Capcom Fighting All-Stars released ONLY in Arcades in Japan. The game failed so miserably it never saw a console launch and American gamers never saw the light of day for that game.

They included her in CFJ as a cameo and is the same w/ this game since they didn't want to waste a new character.

Just wanted to add that the additional characters from Capcom vs SNK 2 (Eagle, Yun, Maki) were in the GBA verison of the game, but they might put more fighters in.

I'm really beginning to think that Capcom loathes the public. "Street Fighter Zero 3 Double Upper"? Screw you, Capcom.

Dammit! Looks like CAPCOM pooped another of their best gems again with the "stretching the sprites to fit widescreen" ****. Not on my buying list then...(stuck with SFIITurbo on snes, then)Who cares about this game anyways...it's old and moldy...I still have the PSone port(the best,if you don't care about loading time before and after each battle). Why don't they release fighting Jam, or SFIII, or any of the Marvel vs. Capcom series..Heck, if they did a port of Super Puzzle Fighter II, I would so much get it over this "port assembled at lunch time". Besides, the characters already look like gnomes in Super Puzzle Fighter II.

Capcom makes some good street fighter games, but they might want to find some better names for the games. I'm not so fond of the "Street Fighter Zero 3 Double Upper Alpha EX Turbo 2, Secret Championship Rainbow Edition", they have 47 different versions of the street fighter game. Kinda crazy.

Ps1 port of SFA3 the best? Nah, the best was the Dreamcast version. Extra characters, no load times, pretty much arcade-perfect...although the most "arcade-perfect" version was for the Sega Saturn I still think DC's was the best overall.

[he reason why the D-pad is crap for beat-em-ups is coz its only 4 way... always play them using analogue... (just try most of your emulators that need 8 way... it dont work if at all on the D-pad)]

D-pads aren't just 4-way, they are 8-way. For example, when you press diagonally down-right on a D-pad both the right and down directionals are pressed. The registers as diagonally down-right on games that use diagonals. Anyway, I prefer d-pads for fighters.

I DEMAND SUPPER PUZZLE FIGHTER 2 BE REMADE! NOW ****ES! ****ing capcom *shakes fist*

To all you dip****s complaining about the widescreen: CPS2's output is ORIGINALLY widescreen anyway. They aren't "stretching it" on purpose, that's how it actually was meant to be seen; open up a cps2 game in Kawaks in windowed mode with correct aspect ratio, take a guess what you see? Widescreen. Also, in Darkstalkers, they give you the OPTION TO CHANGE THE DAMN SCREEN RATIO ANYWAY YOU RETARDS. God you people are dumb; WAAAH ITS WIDESCREEN I DUN WANNA PLAY GNOMEFIGHTER LOLLERSKATES.

At any rate... it's an ACTUAL STREET FIGHTER GAME FOR THE PSP (Darkstalkers notwithstanding). How you people manage to find something to complain about is beyond me, especially the dumbass talking about running Super Turbo (a game older than ****ing dirt) and then calling Alpha 3 "old and moldy." Yeah, very convincing argument there.

Darkstalkers doesn't give you an option to use the analog. It just isn't functional in the game, but hopefully this one will at LEAST give us that option.

It's good to see an SF of any kind making it's way to the PSP. I wonder how the addition of the other characters will affect the balance...

Also, we're probably not gonna get Third Strike or the versus games, so don't get your hopes up, people. It would be nice, indeed, but it's doubtful.

yeah the game releasesannouncements have been pure crap for the psp everything so far has only been werthy of warezing.
im gonna go ahead and say WTF cares about a portable GTA, i mean c'mon.
im also gonna say that pspsix shell is prolly the best looking app to be devd for the psp since fastloader, and thats sad really.
even with the homebrew, my PSP has been getting heavier and heavier to hold in my nubs, it's almost, like, as heavy as a FRIGGIN SHINY BLACK BRICK!

"I'm really beginning to think that Capcom loathes the public. "Street Fighter Zero 3 Double Upper"? Screw you, Capcom."
I could not agree anymore. How many times can you release the same game? I mean really, putting in one or two characters does not change the game at ALL.
And here i was hoping for a PSP exclusive street fighter...i should have known...go to hell Crapcom...
