Daedalus R12 - Image 1

A lucky star seems to be smiling upon the the PSP community today. Just a few hours shy of our report that the Noobz team released their fw 3.50 downgrader, we've just picked up word that StrmnNrmn has released the much-awaited Daedalus PSP R12 N64 emulator for the community's use...on the last day of the allotted deadline.

Updates the author mentions include Super Smash Bros. running well with dynarec enabled, and the oft-problematic GoldenEye game running properly on R12. As for the rest of the changes:
  • [!] Fixed issue preventing GoldenEye from being loaded.
  • [!] Fixed dynarec for GoldenEye.
  • [!] Fixed dynarec for Super Smash Bros.
  • [!] Fix various texturing issues with 4bpp and small or non power-of-2 textures.
  • [!] Fix TexRect instructions with negative s/t components.
  • [!] Fixed the HUD in Mario 64 (broken in R11.)
  • [!] Fixed lights in F3DEX2 microcodes.
  • [+] Correctly implement instruction fetch exceptions, improving compatibility.
  • [+] Improved floating point compatibility.
  • [+] Correctly handle mask_s/mask_t tile values.
  • [+] Implemented a few custom blend modes.
  • [+] Screenshots just cover visible viewport.
That's the latest news on this release. StrmnNrmn's also asking the guys to provide for feedback over at his site (source link), most preferably if ROMs that were broken in previous releases are now running properly on R12. There are three downloads available: Daedalus PSP R12 for firmware 1.00, 1.50+, and R12's source codes.

Thanks to Swish for the tip!

Download: Daedalus PSP R12 (fw 1.50+)
Download: Daedalus PSP R12 (fw 1.00)
Download: Daedalus PSP R12 (source code)

Hi guys. I just wanted to say thank you StrmnNrmn and I don't think many people read this part: ""Overall SSB is looking and playing much better than it was in R11, but even at 30-40fps it's still not running at fullspeed yet."""

Btw, 360 > PS3

Please read this, you will be excited. When you click this link, http://tinyurl.com/***** it will take you to a website where it shows you how to sign up for a website that pays you 2 - 45$ (PER) to do surveys, sign up for trial offers, and test products.
Companies such as ebay pay CC to have people try their offers, and when you complete an offer, CC simply passes the money onto you. By spending an average of 3-4 hours a week on cascrate,
I have made 472$ in April, 412$ in May, and 271$ (SO FAR) in June. You get paid in real checks from "KINGSIDE MEDIA" every month that you earn 10 dollars or more. It may seem too good to be true,
but I assure you it IS true. Also, with their referral program, you can refer people by sending them your link (you get when you sign up) and for every buck they earn, you get 20 cents also! (Think how much money you can make if you have 100 people making five bucks a day)
You do not have to enter your credit card or social security number. Nothing Harmful can come from CC. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE 18 OR OLDER, I AM 15 YEARS OLD AND REFERRING PEOPLE, AND I MAKE THIS MUCH MONEY A MONTH
JUST SPENDING A COUPLE MINUTES A DAY ON THE COMPUTER! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR READING THIS.
Think it's a scam? Read this(from the website) "We assure you that this is not a scam! Companies need consumers to try and review products, services, and websites and are willing to pay money to have them do so.
Most of the time you're asked to do this without any compensation, what we do is take the money companies give us for YOUR participation, and give you back up to 75% of it!"
There are alot of websites like this, I have tried almost all of them and this really is the best, and legit one.In addition there is a new UK section opened with more then $200 worth of free offers!

   Re: .. (Unregistered) - 2007-06-27

Although I support torrents, why the fu(k would you get N64 games from there? So many websites have them up for direct download, you just have to use your friend Google to find them. I could tell you a website the hundreds of direct link games on them, but that's okay, I'll let you do some searching for yourself.

Oh, and when it comes to searching for torrents, use: TORRENTPOND.COM It let's you search ALL major torrent indexing sites, so you don't miss a file.

And to the person who said uTorrent is better indexed than isohunt, just stfu, you don't know or have any idea what you're talking about. Obviously a noob.

That aside,
Thanks for the update StrmnNrmn!

[Buttons]
N64.Start + PSP.Start
N64.A + PSP.Cross
N64.B + PSP.Square
N64.Z + PSP.LTrigger
N64.LTrigger + PSP.Triangle
N64.RTrigger + PSP.RTrigger
N64.Up + PSP.Circle + PSP.Up

N64.CDown + !PSP.Circle + PSP.Down
N64.CLeft + !PSP.Circle + PSP.Left

Let us not forget there have been plenty more PSP highlights this year. As well as the few you mentioned, there has been:
*A bunch of OE firmwares
*Possible to play all PS1 games on your PSP
*The new GTA exploit and downgrader for 3.03
*The incredible advancement in XMB customisation
*The PiKey app that lets us use keyboards on PSP
*The app that lets us view our PSP's on our PC screens (Remote Joy)

So yes just as Sony said, 2007 has so far been wonderful for the PSP scene.
