that is a good mock up
i must say it looks sexy lol
Its called "skye" not PSP phone
you all have failed if you thought Sony was going to make a new hardware to have phone built psp.
Its already here...well for slim.
Come on, Binary, I know you're better than that. Surely one of the first people to realize that the slim battery can be pandoraized would also realize that:
a. It's called "skype", not skye...
b. That skype is a software program available for PCs too....
So, skype is nothing special...
your guys are dumber than bush.
Hey, have some respect man, know your place! It's not an easy job, so mistakes do happen. I mean, what would you do if you had to have at least one article available every hour! So, don't you DARE compare the QJ staff with someone as incompetent as bush! ( :P )
Jomann and Binary, you guys are the dumb ones, obviously you guys don't remember a couple months back, rumors of a PSP Phone, and then rumors of it being fake.
This has nothing to do with the Slimline PSP and Skype.
Do your homework next time.
im in special ed i dont have to do homework :/
Figure of speech. duh.
Thank God for that. As if it wasn't obvious enough - please PLEASE let a real industrial designer create a mock up or get out. These horrific and poorly designed mock ups aren't doing anyone any good. Except get the ultra fanboys all wet.
This Mock up is the sexiest one I never seen before and realistick one too, see is like a Flip top but just in a horizontal way with 180 degrees.
Looks cool! Too bad Sony is not going to release it...
O well maybe the New PSP2 is going to be more like this... Who know Maybe thats why they arent releasing the PSPHONe, because its just in the PSP2..
By the way the PSPslim Skype is just a comunication tool that canot be considered a PSPPhone, not all places have Wifi-enable, so is not a Cell Phone.
PSPMAN90
Even if this were to be real (which I know is not) it said there was no UMD space. Waste of time creating new media for it since not compatible for both. What would we use instead of that? Not a memory stick because you can share files which currently is only possible with custom firmware which im sure sony does not want. You share, they lose money, they get angry, we dont care and keep sharing which basically is happening right right now with m33 which i could never go without. Making this would like be putting special booze holders in cop cars. Beverage included.
I kinda agree with what u say about the psphone thingy but in the long run if they marketed it as a phone then they would find a new media for games because they would sell millions of these little guys and would clean open up a new phone market!
They could find new media but what about all those umd`s that we bought? Ripping them ourselves is sort considered piracy. Plus even when the psp-1001 was still out they thought a psp phone was coming out but only minor things for psp-2000. Maybe a touch screen is next? Skype is pointless because of need of wi-fi. Phone sounds a little too unbeliveable for psp.
So nobody else noticed the phone will have to have some thing slid out at all times? Be it the dpad or the keypad.
Like I said - can a real designer have a crack at this?
