Just to say that those photos up there are from someone updating from some old version to 2.71, so all those new features in those photos are not only from 2.71, but also from 2.70 and maybe from 2.60 aswell.

P.D: Thanks for putting the names of the people who submitted the news.

If sony upgraded so soon and only a tiny update, that must mean that they found a flaw in 2.70. Now if we could find that
flaw.

Another update with all new useless features! Still no descent flash support? Still no full resolution video player? No chat function or anything else showing any innovation at all? I don't see why anybody would update.

 » exploit?

is it just me or does this update seem quik after 2.7? like maybe there is some exploit they found and are patching it and just adding the demo dl thing for a cover up

i see no reason to update .2.71 does not have anything worth updating .

I doubt there's an exploitable flaw in 2.7 - I think we'd know about it before Sony did.

It is strange though. I thought you could download games already with 2.7 - wasn't that the whole point of 2.7? Probably just a bug related to using authorized downloads from the new download store.

 » !!!!Don't Upgrade!!!!

I have 2.7 and most of the stuff in this new upgrade my 2.7 already has, and i don't really see the point of upgrading for a stupid jap demo and a few fixes that don't even effect my model.....

As Mr Common Sense said "Still no descent flash support? Still no full resolution video player? No chat function or anything else showing any innovation at all"

(Sony i know you can do better than that!!!)

STICK WITH WOT YOU GOT PPL ;D

Just because they release an update it doesn't mean there was a vulnerability before it. They are adding new stuff too.

The update is also now available in Europe - just upgraded my UK PSP to 2.71 :)

 » just updated

Well, got my white PSP with 2.01 so i have updated to 2.5, 2.6,2.7 and now 2.71
The game kazou is a sudoku-type game.
I hate sodokus, so not a real reason to upgrade i am afraid :)

But all you "i will never upgrade" people, not everybody got a 1.5 or 2.0 psp, so stfu please. I would also not upgrade if i had a 2.0 or below, but there's no other way.
Also I got from 2.6 to 2.7 for my own good. I had to wait for GTA to boot up everytime i wanted to play FF VI, which crashed all the time, or the PSPlayerMT, anyway. Playing Monster Hunter or Tales of eternia beats playing FF VI at chuggy framerates, sorry.

One last thing: If there was to be a metal gear solid psp demo, or FF VII playble demo, then all you losers would upgrade.
I don't understand why the hackers keep doing so much for you, because you'd screw them the very instant you think you'll get something better!
