When we shared a picture of the TA-086 with you a couple of days ago, it came as a surprise to most of us. It was likened to the proverbial thief in the night, or Count Dracula, or whatever evil thing you can think of. The point is, it made the community anxious to say the least. A number of us then blurted out that the '6' in 086 in that previous image is somewhat larger compared to the others, hinting that it could be a hoax.

You all know our stand on homebrews and how we support them, so believe us now when we say that we're hoping that this alleged PSP motherboard will cooperate with homebrews. But again, we found these new images of the much feared TA-086 on a Chinese site. This time, there seem to be no mistakes, as the pictures are bigger and they also appear legit. But hey, that's just our take on it, feel free to speculate.

As far as we know, even the Chinese site doesn't have any information regarding it. We tried our best to translate their site  (thanks to Google and Altavista), plus we looked for other information elsewhere, but to no avail. However, we can promise you to be vigilant about this issue just so we can inform you about new developments. We thank PSPWerld for the tip - for now, here are the new images.
