The Tokyo Game Show is looking up, and it hasn't even started yet! At the event's pre-show session, Sony showed off new vids of Patapon 2, showcasing the game's new multiplayer mode in action.

As was explained before, multiplayer mode now involves cooperative beat-tapping to fight enemies and to hatch giant eggs. Multiplayer will support up to four players, who each have their own Patapon warrior to lead to battle. Don't worry if the giant ostrich pecks you to death though. As long as one warrior stays alive, the others will eventually be resurrected.

The game's looking as fun as ever, and stays true to the spirit of the first game. In fact, it looks identical. I'm hoping to see more once TGS officially starts. Don't know how many hours I lost to the first game, but I'm sure I'll lose much more when the sequel's out.
