Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology
for the PSP follows and carries on the Tales line that was a GBA original, but what makes Radiant Mythology so radiant on the PSP is that unlike previous PSP Tales games, this one features a full 3D battle system.

The game environments are large arenas where you try to fight off a multitude of enemies at a time, utilizing a full free-roaming battle engine. The game runs well on PSP, especially when deep in action, as your screen is filled up with action from every angle. With vibrant colors and good effects, the game is easy to play and easy on the eyes too. The only con is that the overworld dungeon crawl tends to get too foggy and more importantly, the game doesn't have a multiplayer mode.

The character customization system and a full system of character classes lends you the creative freedom to design and create the character you want to use in the game. According to IGN also, there are no problems with loadtime, as going in and out of battles can be done really fast and hidden by effects. The cel-shading used on the characters, backgrounds, and game environments are also well-done and looks fantastic on the PSP.

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology is scheduled for a Japanese release next year, but we still don't know yet whether the game will make its way to American shores. Keep checking back with us for more updates.

It is unlikely that this game will come stateside, as it contains characters from Tales of games that weren't released in North America...doesn't stop us form importing though...

 » Mulitplayer

Why and how would it have multiplayer. Maybe you could let one peron control a character during the fight scenes but this is a single player rpg. Not every game made by man need be multiplayer, espically given the single player tradition of every game in the seires.

» Tales vs Tales of the world

Your both correct. The series first started on the snes with tales of phantasia, while the first tales of the world entry was on gba. The writer made the grand statement of Tales in general which would make one think of the original series and not the GBA game never seen here. So your both correct but the statement made in the article should have been clearer

"Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology for the PSP follows and carries on the Tales line that was a GBA original"
