Ó

I thought the point was to incur NO damage whatsoever? - Image 1 At least we're getting more demos for the PSP these days. New on the block is Codemasters' TOCA Race Driver 3 Challenge available from www.yourPSP.com - oh yes, this is on the SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) side of the Atlantic, plus Australia and New Zealand...

True to its title, the demo features three cars and three challenges to test your nub finesse. (Or D-pad finesse, if the game controls with the D-pad, too. Hey, whatever floats your PSP.)

  • Steering Control: take the wheel of an Ultima GTR through a timed slalom course
  • Duel: hop into the Opel Vectra GTS V8 in a leader-chaser challenge, which means you gotta overtake him to win
  • No Damage: race your Mercedes Benz W196, in a pack of other W196s and - here's the catch - incur no damage to your car (or at least minimal). You're kidding, right?
The game itself, on UMD, gets off the start line February 16.

And btw, i checked, and it only requires 3.03, so most people should be able to use this

 » IF YOU'RE RUNNING 3.10 OE

QJ, please update the article in order to inform the noobs. The latest demos have an additional DRM file which uses hard-coded paths in the memory stick.

If you want to run a demo, leave it in the PSP/GAME folder, and make sure that you set "game homebrew folder" to 3.10 kernel in the recovery menu. Otherwise, you'll get an "unable to read from the memory stick" error message, because the Eboot couldn't "find itself" in the correct path.

Simple.

im not getting any error. and i downloaded it with my psp from the off. yourpsp-site. so there shouldnt be any problem. but still, just stays on blackscreen and shuts itself off, after a little while.

 » works, but...

It works in 3.10 OE-A', but you'll have to change the kernell to 3.10.

Anyway, this demo sucks. The driving aids are "ON", so you can't really enjoy the game...

 » Wait for the ISO

Ill just wait for the full game on torrents, I allready got the
test drive unlimited iso, the grafix look a bit shabby compared to the 360 version but oh well it was free anyway.
