Heads up, Tales fans! Namco Bandai just announced that Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology will be available for PlayStation Portable (PSP) users all across North America this coming summer. And to celebrate this rather momentous event, the company has provided as well a few new screenshots.

Radiant Mythology remains true and consistent to the Tales series even though it sports a completely new storyline along with several new features. In case you don't know, the game is set in the land of Terresia which was destroyed by The Devourer. Now, the World Tree must find a lone hero that will attempt to restore the land's honor and peace.

Namco Bandai Games America Inc. Senior Vice President and COO Makoto Iwai had this to say about the game:

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology is the most in-depth RPG title to date in the Tales series as the player is thrown into an epic journey filled with popular classic characters from previous Tales games and compelling events that unfold in a dramatic fashion.

In terms of features, Radiant Mythology allows players top share different in-game items such as weapons and armory via the ad-hoc mode. At the beginning, there will be four available classes (Warrior, Thief, Priest, and Mage) but more kinds will be unlocked as your character progresses.

Makoto Iwai added finally, "From the moment they turn on the game, players will be engaged in the popular free-roaming battle system Tales games are known for and a story that will submerse the player from the first scene to the final battle." Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology will be available for US$ 39.99.
