New video for Tenchu 4: Shadow Assassins (Wii, PSP) coming right up. It dates all the way back to the PSOne days when I really played Tenchu since I found the ones of late to be a little...not-up-to-par. Anyway, Ayame's here again and she shows us a few of her moves. The usual lethal blows and stabs are there, but she's got upside down grabs and heavy nut-kicks too!
Have to admit, the upside-down grab was cool, and the wall hang move at 1:00 was awesome. Still don't know how the gameplay will be, and since this will be a Wii release, I'm not too sure about the graphics. I guess we'll have to wait until it comes out, February 12th is the day it hits Japanese stores. More Tenchu 4: Shadow Assassins news: |

I played the original games long ago and it seems like there have only been little changes in these 10 years in terms of graphics and gameplay. For the gameplay that's not a bad thing, since it's always been great. But the graphics could have been a lot better IMO. Next to that, I absolutely loathe the ridiculous voice casting with its over-adaptation to the Western culture. I'd rather play a game in its original context instead of this dub-fest.
Overall, I don't think this game will be a hit in the West.

» hmm.
Tenchu 1 & 2 were the best. Wrath of Heaven was alright, but everything else was garbage.
I'm buying this no matter what, though. It's developed by the same guys who did Tenchu 1 & 2 so yeah.

I to have played Tenchu since PS1 and I've seen it change over the years. THe last one on 360 was nice graphics but a crap game. I loved the stealth from the previous games. I kept wondering why I was loosing when I finsihed the game and was never seen.....
Anyway, its gone back to the original graphics as the Wii isnt good enought to do any better. Maybe on the PSP it will look better, I hope anyway.
I will be getting it anyway as I'm a huge fan. Just hope as its being created by the guys who made the first 2 then it'll be as good or better. About the dubbing, get the Jap version as its normally in Jap so no dubbing. Sometimes its hard to navigate the menus but you get it in the end. :)
cant wait for it to get released in English. When's that? Isnt it march 09 in Jap or is that the Eng version?
