McDo's Dog Happy LifeWhether you loved or hated Nintendogs, others will still try to ride in its fame...McDonald's not excluded. The Japan franchise of the popular fastfood chain is giving away a Ronald McDonald (or is that Donald McDonald – because believe it or not that's how the Japanese calls the McDonald clown!) version of The Dog: Happy Life. By buying a Happy Set (which we know as the “Happy Meal”), customers receive a scratch card which may or may not win them the PSP game. But take note: this is available only in McDonald's Japan.

The Dog: Happy Life is Sony PSP's answer to the Nintendo DS game Nintendogs. This game features 16 dogs - Chihuahua, Labrador Retriever, French Bull Dog, Golden Retriever, Papillon, Border Collie, Dalmatian, Pug, Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier, Beagle, German Shepard, Shiba, Dachshund, Maltese and Poodle – that you can take care of: dress them, groom them, take their pictures and show them off to the world.

We reported on this earlier, but I'd always thought it was some kind of joke game... However, it looks like The Dog: Happy Life is really coming out. If you thought Nintendogs is a rip-off of Dogz, this game takes "rip-off" to a new level. I need to tell you this though: These screenshots are not from Nintendogs, even though the graphics look like they were ripped straight out. Thankfully, at least the gameplay differs (well, it kinda has to without a touchscreen).  You will be able to take pictures of your dogs (or PSPuppies as I call 'em) and save them to your Memory Stick. You can then post them online to show off or take part in competitions. You can also breed your dogs. Take that last point however you want... I'm keeping it clean in my head. The game will be released April 27th.

Because Sega want to make sure the games meet "quality standards", they have pushed back the release of both Chromehounds for Xbox 360 and Myst for the Sony PSP.

Previously set for May 25, Chromehounds is now due June 29, while Myst's going from April 20 to June 15.

Developed by From Software (Armored Core), Chromehounds is the first next-generation Mech combat game with a strong focus on online play, cooperative or competetive. Battles incorporate tactics, communication and hands-on combat skills to same parts, with players either taking up the role of a Squad member or a Tactics commander.

Myst, on the other hand, will not just be a straight PSP port of the PC best-seller, but feature new contents and scenarios to meet today's visual standards.

If this decision results in more polished, bug-free games, it's certainly a wise one, as especially the PSP has been marred by buggy, rushed out titles in the past.
