Smelling Like A Rose

...to your Xbox 360 and PSP today.

In the Xbox 360, the ruling "party" never stops. Ever wanted to rule the streets of New York, but don't have enough manpower, guns, and guts to do so? Well, with The Godfather you can do that and more. In this game you'll be joining the family and carry out various tasks to earn respect and eventually rise through the ranks of the Corleon Family. The ultimate objective though is more than just being the Don of the Family, but rather to be 'Don of New York'. In order to do that you'll have to accomplish more missions, do some venue take overs, contract hits on the big heads of the other Families, and earn the respect of everyone involved.

Mobs and the PSP do mix! The Godfather Mob Wars for the PSP also comes to videstores today. In this game, players are expected to hone their mob skills and rise to be the Don of the Family. Expect to fight in turf wars to take over enemy territory. Take NYC apart piece by piece and then place it back together, The Godfather style.

Essentially, the most impressive statement in this game is the voice acting. Great Actors such as James Caan, Robert Duvall, Abe Vigoda, and the late great Marlon Brando lends their voices to the game. It was said that this was one of the final jobs Marlon Brando took before he died. However, noticeably absent was Al Pacino. Yet the game was able to stand on its own merits.

Two Godfather games out on the same date; Don Corleon would've been proud. Well, are you ready to take over New York?

Some people may not like this game, but I loved the Xbox version. While I'm pretty dissappointed that EA didn't do much for the 360, this game definitely deserves a rent.

Not worth $60 though, sorry EA, try harder next time

I just got this ***** for PSP and it SUCKS. Its a card game!!wtf!!?? i was hella pissed. you hafta play some card game to take over areas and then theres like a minute of GTA style gameplay. When you try to run down any of the streets it says leaving gameplay area or some *****..(like tony hawk used to do) godaym the only sick part is you unlock scenes from the movie..and thats pretty much it...if your planning on buying this, DONT. RENT IT. No online, no free roam, its a CARD GAME, and it sucks ass.

i agree, this is a pretty crappy game. As mentioned it's got some lame card type play you have to go through that is boring and useless, and even IGN gave it a 6.2 (which may be a little generous)

The PSP version is a card game? That's a huge disappointed. I was so looking forward to this game. I was hoping it'd tie me over til Vice City comes out. Another crap release. Damn. Damn. Damn.

   by ***** you EA.. (Unregistered) - 2006-09-19

if you're reading this EA i predict that this game is going to fail because you made it a stupid card game and took out the free roaming. are you *****ing retarded? this is exactly why i dont buy most games for psp. they take out the best parts of the games and just throw us some ***** and think its going to cut it. but it never does....

Dude your a ***** the game is good and also for anyone else who's thinking of getting this game. You get used to the card scenario plus there is alot more shooting you can do if you choose to "Continue to Next Phase"
And whoever "..." is your a ***** that think she can create a little "actual" conversation when all you did is make a stupid reply and then reply to your own comment. Grow-up go outside and stare into the sun for a while you little kid.

Other than that the game is fun, if all you want to do is free-roam and not follow the mafia type Story Mode, then go and purchase it for Xbox, since the Xbox style is more GTA style. Anyways I love it for the PSP it's good, and plus I think it beats GTA:LCS crappy 10 minute story mode.
