So what do we have for this week's big homebrew releases? Well, there's a new version of Daedalus X64, for one. For those who use their PSPs for a lot of media viewing, there's also a new PSP Video Converter release. Game-wise, we have one of the most addictive games to come out in a while (more so if you're a Final Fantasy fan): an OpenBOR game featuring characters from the first Final Fantasy game.

Applications:

• A new beta release for the smokin' hot Nintendo 64 emulator, Daedalus X64, kicked off this week. A lot has changed since the first beta, and games run much smoother now. Link.
• The Daedalus X64 team also outlined plans for their third beta release. A new GUI and some major bug squishing are in the works. Link.
• Our old friend Nick Swardh has updated PSPVC again. This version includes some new filter options and the ability to add your own watermarks to the video. Link.
• It's nowhere near finished yet, but homebrew dev raing3 has made some headway into an app that converts PSP Action Replay codes to a format usable in CWCheat. Link.
• For the religious conservative sort, there's Kehon's PSP Bible. It only has the New Testament for now though. Link.
• Got a lot of stuff to read on the go? Try out the latest version of Bookr, a homebrew document reader for the PSP. Link.
• There's a new version of PSPconsole, hotter's swiss knife VSH plugin alternative. It has games, apps, and a function that will let you sort your games. Link.
• A_noob's new homebrew release isn't just any kind of Pong. It's Gnarly Pong. Not an actual game per se, but it does show off the Gear Works Engine in style. Link.
• A new version is out for good ole' ScummVM, the latest stable release to date. The app has a new vector-based GUI, and a couple of added engines, adding support for several games. Link.
  
• And just managing to make it to this issue is the final version of JDawson's iPhone-themed portal, PSPPOD 2G. Link.

Games:

• j3r3mie brings out some funky kind of fun for the PSP with his new release, eKaraoke v1.0. This homebrew, as you can glean from the name of the game, turns your PSP into a karaoke machine. Link.
• Moovlin and Koovlin are back once again and so are their enemies the Star-Riders in Moovlin 7, the latest release in jfig111's Flash-based homebrew RPG series. Link.
• NickyP brings more 8-bit old-school action to the PSP with a fighting game based on the original NES Final Fantasy I using the OpenBOR engine. Having sword-chucks in this game would RULE! Link.

Woohoo! Quite a few great apps this week. It was a bit slower in terms of homebrew games, but the new Daedalus X64 release should be keeping people busier than usual. If you're not into the whole emulation scene so much, the FF OpenBOR game is a definite must-try, even though there are no sword-chucks involved. Just be careful not to get too addicted to it.
