http://dm.senixee.net/youareapirate.swf
I give you mad props for this application Madruscoe. Now its up for the difficult task of getting it to work with other applications. Also, what we need next is a MOUSE for the psp lol. (So I could own you guys on Counter-Strike) AND when do you think u can get other keyboards to work ( like those ones that use like a ray of light to display the virtual letters on a flat surface)
GOOD JOB MAN!!!!!! Madruscoe rules!
sooo cooool... good job, now u only have to make it wireless like a psp chatroom using internet .hahahah, too much???
This is still really amazing and cool. This would sure make web browsing a LOT easier.
This just screams for XMB/Homebrew/Game support - Dark_Alex, now you know what to include in the next OE ;D
yes yes yes
thanks thanks thanks
it would be awesome to see a word processor, I'd help if i knew how to code
it's a wifi keyboard but the wifi light is NOT ON on the PSP this has to be fake, even when running the program on the PSP the wifi is not on so it can't work
Edited by Kyle M. (Q.J. NET Staff) , because:
It uses infrared :P
HAHA OWNED NOOB
It uses Infrared.
There are some sort of chips stuck in my butter, what's the deal?
lol idiot it uses IR
The PSP is not designed for a keyboard, this is a pointless application. This isn't convenient, has no support for other programs but this pathetic use of the pspdev kit. There's a reason why no official keyboard has come out yet, you *****ing geniuses, no one would buy it because it's POINTLESS and clunky. You all fail.
Edited by Kyle M. (Q.J. NET Staff) , because:
You are an idiot. Try to make something yourself, and if you don't have anything constructive to say then don't say it.
well gott i would be one of those "****ing geniuses" making a lot of use out of it! For one I could actaully type at a decent pace and send e-mails, instant messages, and use it for note taking in class....i would sure beat taking my laptop along and not have to worry about breaking my 2 grand box. Now this all assuming they make a decent prx for it so it will work with all homebrew progs.
Edited by Kyle M. (QJ Staff) , because:
This is how your supposed to comment!
Your a "***** T a r d" short for "F"ing retarded.
What have you developed? What have you brought
to the PSP community in way of app, instead of
showing us how low your IQ really is.
We've all been waiting for a Keyboard and just
because you haven't doesn't mean you know
anything at all.
I'm done wasting my time trying to post about
how your mother should be b!tchslapped
because she failed miserably to raise a desent
member of society.
You should be bent over and @zz rapped by
every offended memeber here.
Go Kill your self please.
QJ.net Staff, please ban his IP!
Just a small point here Kyle M., but perhaps editing these posts isn't a smart idea, given after editing they show as being posted by you (which confused me for a while) Also, they're entitled to their opinion, stupid or not.
Yeah if ppl dont read the bold letters then it looks like you posted the entire comment. Since about 50% of the ppl viewing this are < 18, they're gonna be obnoxious and post stupid comments, and reprimanding them only exacerbates it. But he!!, you're a mod, just ban em all ;P
Can you say "abuse of power" ??
huh that guy does make sense cuz doesnt the wireless signal need the WIFI on since it's a WIRELESS KEYBORAD RIGHT MAKE'S NO SENSE TO ME BUT every time i watch TV on my TV and change the channel i dont need wifi lol i thought that little black shinie thing on the top off the psp was the IR port right which isnt that the Wifi???
'gott' you obviously don't use your PSP to browse the web often enough.
Sorry, I forgot to say that it uses infrared, as the Palm wireless keyboard supports both IR and WiFi.
The Palm wireless keyboard does not support Wifi. It's IR only.
Go flush your self down the nearest toilet
you turd.
It's suprising how anti-homebrew people can be.
Already reading ebooks, surfing the web, chatting on msn, etc. This keyboard is not so bad.
This is a great idea. Think of it a prx that supports this ir keyboard..... you can type in your web browser, game, Homebrew (AFKIM) or some sort of word processor for writting late reports at school ;)
There are several people who has done homebrew with IRDA keyboards before... How is this news???
I wish this guy could get usb keyboards working like my frogpad. The usb cable would have to be modified into a mini to mini configuration. God that would be awesome. Instant messaging and email apps would explode in popularity.
idiots, if this homebrew doesn't fly with you keep it shut. i'll love to have it as i use afkim on a daily basis (business trips), being able to type on a keyboard instead is a must-have.
Nice job! just waiting on a plugin for OE-B! P.S. is the source code included so people can build this into their own programs? that would be nice...
about to download now...
several are sold for 40 CA$ (26.29 €) at this moment on ebay.
This'll make web surfing so much easier. This is a great homebrew development.
great news, keep the codin`up, so many peep tryin´to get a KB runnin`then they stop developin`man, this would be great 4 the whole PSP community!
YES! I just happen to have a Palm One keyboard lying around (my Palm TX died) it would be awesome if this were implemented into the XMB for web browser. Or make a word editor, or maybe implement some kind of Open Office, that would be amazing! THANK YOU!!
Does any one think if this was made into prx form it could be implemented into the xmb and function in input maybe for the osk? or alotogether replace the osk?
Confirmed!! Works Flawlessly! keep on improving this excelent APP@@@!!!!@@@
looks pretty good, it would probably be more useful if a plugin was made that can be run in 3.03 oe, so that it can be used on any app :D
and? so really this attachments gonna b sold out in a couple hrs
theres a palm keyboard down at my local cash converters; but i dont think its an infrared one. It would be good if he could make it use USB - Definatly make it much much better
FAKEEEEE!!, jk, just wanted to be the guy that yells that out, looks cool
Hi Madrusco,
I have a Targus IR keyboard. (for the PDA)
I can confirm that your program pics up a signal as I type, unfortunately it shows the wrong letters on the PSP and typing goes slow.
Perhaps this could be fixed in a later version. :)
Which I truly hope :)
Success with developing..
Thanks.
P.
It wasn't stated that it would work with all kb's, however, it would be nice to expand the library of keyboards that it supports, to the developer:
Could you make a "profiler" for the app?
As in, ask for ESC first, and then record ESC, (which should be on all IR kbs) and then after that, if ESC is pressed the key is skipped (for those without f1 etc..) and then go thru every key on a standard 102key layout, and ask for each key, and then when all is said and done, ask them to type a name for the Profile, and then save it the Profile.txt (where profile + what they type in for profile) thus allowing the users to upload their own IR profiles to a website..
