» Props to the writer.
I give kudos to whoever wrote this. Despite the fact that these are VERY old and came out a few years ago, they are EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND now! And whenever you happen to actually find them, they're really expensive, while these are still moderately priced. Good find!

You must be "special" because if you didn't notice these DID sell out and this article links you to a third party SCALPER who charges up to 750 dollars per figure.

» It's only worth that much if you are willing to pay that much.
That argument doesn't holdup unless it a honus Wagner's card or babe Ruth rookie card. The collectors market in toys is just as volatile as any other market but the prices are subjective to the buyers desire sometime then an actual supply/demand ratio. Many of times I found comics ranging 50 -$100 in a 99 cent pack because there perceived rarity allow them to be assessed higher. Same goes for records because there is some company takes the volume in to account and deems how many were sold ,destroyed and the audience and their demand($)
Besides they are ugly, cartoonish representations of a movie that one of it's main appeal was style. I think this was the same company that put out the ugly unrecognizable Reservoir Dogs 10th anniversary set. Mcfarlane make the best stuff anyway so go pay 750 for your facial palsy action figures if you want.
