Tony Hawk Pro Skater - Image 1Fans of the Tony Hawk video gaming franchise will have something in store for them in the near future. There's a lot going on behind the scenes now, among Activision, Neversoft, and of course, the main man Tony Hawk himself. As it turns out, they're currently collaborating on a project called the "Tony Hawk Innovation Plan."

The plan is still under wraps at this point, but it's been reported that this move by the companies and Hawk will try to bring new thrills to the aging Tony Hawk series.

And how will it turn out? We'll never know for sure until we see the next installment of the Tony Hawk virtual skateboarding franchise. The name is certainly catchy, however. With a winning formula that sold about 30 million units in the past decade, we can be sure that whatever it is that's going on in the Tony Hawk Innovation Plan, it's going to be really...well, innovative.
