Essential Power Duo PackFor those who think that the Playstation Portable's out-of-the-box battery is too weak and Sony's higher capacity battery is too little value for money, Datel is about to help you out of your dilemma with the Essential Power Duo Pack.

The Power Duo Pack contains two spare batteries for a whole more bunch of gaming hours. The two MAX Power batteries are each a replacement for the PSP's regular rechargable cell. The MAX Power batteries are boasting Lithium Ion technology and should be up to par with Sony's battery, offering about ten hours per charge - at a reduced price. With a total of three batteries at your disposal, you shouldn't be afraid of having your PSP die on you for quite a while.

Seeing how I do not know of many PSP games with an unfair amount of saving opportunities, Datel's newest product might only appeal to the most paranoid of us or the people traveling for longer periods without access to a power source. But I guess it's always "better be safe than sorry"...

The Essential Power Duo Pack is out now, retails for £29.99, and, like other Datel products, can also be bought at the online store of CodeJunkies.

Its not that their products are s***, there just not noob friendly. The wifi max isnt easy to set up if you dont already have some idea about wifi. If your a beginner (which I take it you are) you may find you cant get it to work. The problems you not the product

 » Does anyone know that

leaving the Lithium Ion battery at 100% capacity for a year sees a 20% drop from original capacity.

 » Well...

@10: But the thing work at one point, then stopped, then worked. It was just so crappy! It was easy to setup, its just that it only worked when it wanted to work lol.

 » Yup

It's so stupid to have extra batteries... I mean if it's a real emergency and your in the middle of a game... it's not like you can just take out the sony battery then replace it... cuz for one wouldn't the PSP shutdown???

 » Best Buy

Awhile back, I dunno if it was an error in their database or not but Best Buy had the offical Sony batteries for $7.99 each. I bought 2 of em which came to about $16+ w/ tax. So I paid about half of what Datel is offering and I have the official batteries too... heh.

And Datel isn't that bad. I have a 64mb Memory Card for my PS2 and that seems to be working fine.

No, PSPUpdates does not have any relationship with Datel. Datel issued several press releases today regarding current and future products. We get nothing from Datel. We have never been in contact with Datel.

You guys are just too bitter to accept this as what it is - news of new accessories. ;)

Hope they sell em at Best Buy

yo #22, you're a tool, this is not america, you are in America, this is an internet site open to people all over the world.

» Not really a big deal in my opinion

If you buy six more batteries you have six more times the playtime, it's kinda abvious that if you buy two more batteries you'll have three times the playtime. And there I was getting super excited thinking a stronger batteries was being released.

By the way. "With a total of three batteries at your disposal, you shouldn't be afraid of having your PSP die on you for quite a while."

That isn't quite true, because in order to swirch batteries, you'll have to "kill" the PSP yourself, won't you? ;P

Also mattpreston11 said:

Hahahaha, good one!
He's right, they should've said "Double the playtime" instead of "Double the gameplay", it doesn't makes the game funner! XD

» Is this a third party accessory?

I don't trust thirst party things....my power pack on the go blew up, and my psp broke the first day I got it and put it in a brand new case when I dropped it on my effin' pillow. Never know what this might do! :O

 » screw datel

I got a 4 gig from datel and that cheap pos broke, And the battery is the same as that one up there and its freaking huge, they just make it look smaller. Third party products SUCK!!! Don't waste your money
