We've seen numerous trailers and teasers rife with dialogue and we're already clamoring for more hot-blooded action. How about some Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII video clips that's no talk and all action? Luckily for us, there's a couple of video clips that showcase Crisis Core's battle system, and how it works in game.

The first vid shows materia-using in action. Not much to be gleaned from the very short clip, but we can see that the battles will be in frantic real-time (at least, that's how it looks like), just right to keep us gamers from falling asleep while grinding , if there's going to be a need to mindlessly grind either for gil, items, or levels.

On the other hand, the second vid is...well, a surprise. Since we don't want to spoil the fun for you, we'll just say that it involves smoldering fire, and a bad-ass.

More updates to come!

even better would be if they had english subtitles/text in the japanese version, like ff1-2 did! english voice actors usually suck, even in the ff games...

 » Subtitles

FF1 and2 only had subtitles because the english versions were out previously for other consoles. they just ripped it out and copied it .

I like the real time combat (I hate turn-based, auto-battles). I just hope you don't have to fiddle with the camera during the whole battle like in Monster Hunter games.

DOC wasn't half that bad in my opinion.
It wasn't a final fantasy I was used to play, but it was fair enough.

Although I'm not one of those who've completed FFVII umpteen times, but all the remake fanboys do have a point. The characters and the armour/materia system haven't been bettered since IMO.

Let's just hope they don't ruin it with a load of monotonous FFXII/Monster Hunter type grinding. Killing the same monster 100+ times in the hope of a certain item is not fun. I can't believe WoW players actually fall for it.

Looks kinda like the FFXII battle system, without the arc thingies...

No it doesn't look like the FFXII battle system... i'd say it looks more like the battle system in the Kingdom Hearts-games ;)

Longing!

I like the game. It has the best graphics I've seen in a PSP game by far. Hopefully the game play will be just as excellent.

Pretty cool...hope it lives up to the hype! FF7 is the greatest of all time!

 » Conflict Resolved

Never mind the fact that the game hasnt been giving a date for an all-english release, but "conflict resolved" makes me think more of peaceful negotiations, not jumping 50 metres into the air and landing sword-first on their skull. not a big deal really, just something i thought i'd mention

 » Conflict Resolved

Heh heh, you're right. Maybe that's what peaceful negotiations look in Japan :-P

Gamestop has it posted on there website that the prerelease will be around March. http://www.gamestop.com/search.asp?No=48&N=136+5&Ns=Sort%5FETA%7C%7CTitle

Now grant it they are not always right, but usually they are close. I am guessing it will be out mid next year.
