It sure would be a nice thought if UMD movies for the PSP aren't bound by region locks, wouldn't it? If you're one of the many hopefuls, then you might as well get your hopes up just a tad higher as MTV releases have been spotted to carry the "ALL" label instead of the typical region-numeric code. Learn more about it in the full article! |

Back in March 2007, retail chain Gamestop ran a rather excellent deal that allowed PlayStation Portable owners purchased UMD movies for just US$ 4.99 each. We just got word that the store has returned the offer. With the new handheld's ability for TV output ad full DVD resolution, US$ 5 for a movie is really a good catch. A few worth mentioning choices include Hellboy, Underworld, and Final Fantasy: Advent Children. Know more after the jump! |

For those of us waiting on pins and needles on the most polished-looking homebrew game for the PlayStation Portable to date, RealTechVR's No Gravity, here's something special from homebrew scene's "E3": its official teaser video.
We get you the skinny on what's to expect with the homebrew title that's looking to best even some of today's commercial releases. For a teaser video, it definitely teases. No, there's no gameplay to be seen, only a picture montage that details out what seems to be the game's overall storyline. To be fair, the video looks professional, and the feminine voice over doesn't hurt. It could have done better with a few choice gameplay video cuts, though, but as a teaser, it does its job well. Check out the embed below for the video. Enjoy! |

Good news for PSP gamers hankering for more movies on the go: Deep Discount is now having its semi-annual 20% discount sale, which also applies to its DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and yes, UMDs. Couple that with its relatively low price range, and it's a great chance to get the UMD copy of the movie you've been wanting to show off on your PSP.This may also interest you a bit more: Using the coupon code USATODAY also gives you yet another additional discount as well as free shipping. Of course, this is just one retail chain offering UMD discounts among many others, but its good to have other options to choose from. Now you don't have any more excuses not to buy Last Exile and Samurai Champloo for your PSP... |

Amazon UK is giving out quite a deal for those who enjoy watching movies on their PSPs. They're having a sale which nets you 3 UMD movies for the price of GBP 10 (US$ 20). Now you're probably thinking that the movies must not be really good, but you'd be surprised at the classics they are offering in their promo. They have quite a few gems in their list such as Superman Returns, The Matrix, The Matrix Revolutions, Constantine, Corpse Bride, and the first Batman. Now these are movies that we've enjoyed watching in the cinemas and would provide a nice break from playing whatever game you've been spending your time on. If you're a movie buff and carry your PSP wherever you go (who doesn't?), then this is an offer that may be too good to pass up. Just click on our read link to send you straight to the Amazon UK site where you can order. Be sure to keep checking back here for more deals for your PSP. |
