this is for the modchip..
you need to use the modchips own usb connection.
it flashes the nands directly..
you cant use this app without the modchip.. duh..

No. This is not about emulating, this is about having 2 flash chips in your psp internally and being able to switch between them.
For all of you that doesnt understand this, i hope you buy it and f*ck your psp's up, your a waste of space and do not contribute.

I looked in this file a bit.. and found that its encypted using UPX encypter...why would they encypt the file for?? Could it be that they are trying to keep something from us? Programs that are made for the community are usually unencrypted....

12, pcx - UPX is a file packer (see compressor). It isn't encryption as far as I know.
But I have to say, it seems suspicious to me that they would release this before releasing the product. What is the point, if not to make their product look real? If there product *is* real, why bother forcing it? Hrmm...

No way in hell am i going to solder 20 wires and cut a track, just to get a modchip working on my psp....long live dev hook! my ps2 didn't even have 20 wires to solder in!

Great, you enjoy 2.50 on 1.50, while we enjoy 1.50 and 2.71 at the same time. Also, if you hadnt noticed, this is the psp not the ps2, ps2 os easyer because its older.

God damn... This bypasses the security checks hardware-programmicaly, not softwarically, there fore you COULD have 2.71 on your reg firmware and STILL launch any 1.5 required game with full kernel access... The extra NAND flash is for 2 things...
-recovery of bricked PSPs
-Alternate firmware
So say you brick ur PSP.. use this program here to upload your old firmware back on it, then your saved.
Also, say you love 2.7's web browser and music player... but what if a firmware came out that could play every video format... youd upload that to any NAND flash you would now have, and use that to do all the extra needs...

what he means by this is that this program will restore your bricked psp IF the bricked NAND is the U.P modchip.
This program WILL NOT restore your already bricked PSP, sorry.
But, install a U.P. in your bricked PSP, and your "on your way to Kansas", but you'll only have the U.P NAND modchip to run firmware of, your original NAND will allways be DEAD..........

This is fake! I tried it on my 2.6 and it didnt work!
Its a fake just like the MPH downgrader, i tried that on my 2.6 too.
This whole website is full of fake crap.

Do you even have the modchip installed? What did you try? ... connecting PSP via it's USB and flash it with the flashing utility?
You have to connect your PC to the modchip's USB not PSP's.

because it is dangerous as hell to try this on the PSP's original flash and alos because the USB port on the PSP only accesses the memory stick, not the flash

Looks like the modchip is real in the end....
It's just a shame you cannot program it in Linux though. I hope they reconsider that in the future.
Anybody knows the exact date when this modchip is coming out?
