VDrum v1.0: a drum kit simulator for the PSP - Image 1  


Homebrew developer Xsjado7 has just released VDrum 1.0 for the PSP. The creator of the program pointed out that this is very different from other drum simulators (such as PSPRhythm and PSP Kick) due to the fact that each button is mapped to a different drum.

The application looks to have a lot of promise, emulating most of the functions a person would expect from a drum kit. The controls were a bit difficult to get used to at first but quickly became second nature after a few minutes of play. The GUI is pretty basic but works due to the nature of this program. If you plan on trying out this homebrew, you might want to use headphones because the sound is a bit weak with the built-in speakers of the PSP.

This program is a very solid effort from Xsjado7 and one that musicians will enjoy. It makes this blogger wonder at the possibilities of this homebrew when paired up with a synthesizer (to simulate a bass guitar) and a Nintendo DS loaded with Jam Sessions.

dude as soon as i get home from school im gonna put this on my psp.i think its a grea homebrew.but it would be cool if you made a homebrew like this except with an electric guitar
