Ó

PSP - Image 1Insert_Witty_Name has just rolled out Revision B for his PSP brew VSH Analog, which allows you to use the analog stick for movement in the VSH. This enables your analog stick to function as D-pad, and vice versa.

Known bugs in this version include the PSP crashing when items from the game menu are launched on non-3.10 OE firmwares. He hasn't been able to fix this so he reminds us that only 3.10 OE is fully supported.

Changelog:

  • Analog stops working after using some VSH options (FIXED)
  • Analog/D-pad messed up when using VSH options that actually use analog (FIXED)
  • Added option to enable/disable the button swap in VSH
  • Added short message displaying current status when enabled/disabled
  • HOLD key will stop analog movement
  • Added a power tick to keep PSP awake
Installation instructions, credits, and other vital info can be found in the readme which was put there for a reason, so go use it. Again, for those who will ask, installation instructions are in the readme. Got that? Good. Nothing left to do for you but to...

Great update except now I can't use my standard directional buttons, I would prefer the option to be able to use both. Thanks

   Re: rob66 (Unregistered) - 2007-02-08
 » well

You can use both. You just have to press both the volume buttons at the same time to switch between analog and the d pad. However I agree that it would be better if we could use both at the same time. Thats probably what you ment just wanted to make it more clear.

 » cusom firmware or flashing

seplugins for any cusom firmware vsh or xmb is the menu make the directory of the proxxy could be anywhere theoretically al long as u give the location ms0:/seplugins/e.prx
ms0:/seplugins/irsmp3.prx
ms0:/seplugins/rebooter.prx
ms0:/seplugins/271autoboot.prx
prx0:/seplugins/xautob.prx
msms0:/seplugins/quickboot.
ms0:sepluginsBrightnessMod.prx
my vsh for example but as long as u give the location it worksfor example instead of ms0:/seplugins/quickboot.prx i could have ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/quickboot.prx as long as it is on the folder and the vsh text reads this accordingly hope i helped oh and if its not to much trouble for Insert_Witty_Name can u release a reverse of your analog detector for game text my analog is messed upand would like to shut if off altogether if not dont worry about it

 » A few issues

I'm not sure where to post this but here seems like a fine place.

I've experienced a delay many times when using this, allowing me to use my d-pad for a minute and then having to switch.

Also I can tell when the .prx is activated because of the graphical glitches that say something to that extent on the top of my screen, rather bothersome.

For improvements I would like to be able to switch between the d-pad and the analog without having to press extra buttons, unsure how well that would work.

Also if it would be possible to switch the d-pad and analog uses in other places would be nice *thinks about the PSone emulator and the control schemes*

Lastly as others have said, please make the readme clearer for those of us new to plugins.

Overall a great plug-in and I look forward to the next version.
