When I first saw the pictures of this case online a couple months ago, I mentally put it in the same category as the Gucci iPod case: Useless and expensive. But after actually wrapping one of these cases around my PSP, I was quite surprised at how much utility it had to offer, and found myself really liking the case. The cases come in a stylish black box, with shiney little designs on it. The cases are made out of full grain cowhide leather, any color in the rainbow you want. The PSP case is solid; when you knock on it it sounds almost like wood. I feel that if I were to drop my PSP in this case it would be protected. It is held together by strong (enough) magnets, and uses two button snaps to secure the PSP within. Playing the PSP while in the case is quite comfortable, and it is much lighter than the Logitech. All the buttons are easy to get to and the speakers are not obstructed. On the bottom of the lid are three slots for extra memory sticks, which slide in and out securely. The UMD drive can be accessed while the PSP is still in the case which is a really cool feature. What I really liked, however, was that there is an opening for your memory stick to be swapped while still in the case. You can also plug in A/C power and headphones while the case is closed. Vaja also sent over a leather UMD case which is a quite straight forward and fashionable UMD wallet. It has a strong snap which holds it together, and it (very) securely holds four UMDs. It feels to be made of padded leather; it does not have the same ?wooden? feeling as the PSP case. The stitching on this case is very tight and high quality. So, what's the bottom line on the Vaja PSP case? Yes, it delivers on functionality, quality, and style, but it isn?t for the nickel and dime shopper. Is the UMD case anything special? Nah, not really, smells good, looks good, and protects your UMDs. If you are interested in any of these, or other cases (phones, mp3 players, etc) head over to www.vajacases.com. |

Get with the program, people. Magnets do not remove/damage memory from memory cards and flash devices. If it did, they wouldn't use magnet flaps for cell phone storage pouches on backpacks and pouches.
This thing is not remotely gay. In fact, it's leaning toward the ugly side, as much as I've defended it in the past: No self respecting metrosexual or stylish-gay man would touch this thing if they were trying to look trendy.
1. Memory cards are sensitive to heat: Flash media can withstand very rapid fluctuations in temperatures. Their operating tolerances range between -13 degrees Fahrenheit (-25 C) to 167 degrees F (75 C).
2. Memory cards need a constant supply of electrical power to hold data: Flash memory cards are designed to be able to retain information in the absence of a power source.
3. Memory cards are susceptible to damage from being dropped: Memory cards can withstand a shock rating of 2000G's or the equivalent of fall from 10 feet and not sustain damage.
4. The information on memory cards deteriorate after a while: Flash media is designed with built-in error correction technologies, insuring that your data will not be lost or deteriorate, even after 100 years.
5. Flash media will be erased or damaged by being exposed to a magnet or electrical current: The information on flash media will not be erased and the card will not become damaged by electricity or magnets, unless the voltage or magnetic field is exceptionally high or strong. Putting your flash media through the scanning machines at airports is perfectly OK.
FIRST, nice case btw
Wow, you wanna get shot for saying "first"?
This case is for rich people that are a bit of the gay side, not my type.
Hey Im sorry if Its just me, but i don't see a price..Is it possible to get one of these in Camo? I would DEFINITELY buy one if that was possible! even if it was 100 bux!! this case looks amazing tho!
agree with julesno1...
also whats so wrong with the SONY pouch case, i found it very Stylish, does the job, plus it was included...
Nah the first one is alright its the pouches that are well how should i say fruity. But yeah the umd hold is like 75. While the other's are like 100+ but gotta admit the first one is pretty cool. Protects your psp, holds your memory sticks, and still allows you to pop in umd, a/c, headphones. Heck when you go to purchase it it even allows you to personallize it by adding name, embossed logo... of course for extra cash.
Looks nice. I'd but it if I had 170.00 extra :)
Ummm... anyone else notice that it is held together by STRONG MAGNETS? Not really sure I want STRONG MAGNETS so close to my Memory Sticks for extended periods of time.
that is EXACTLY what i asked myself. i thought. strong magnets !!! ?!?!? what !?!? seems like you can "brick" psp's with cases nowadays too. nice
The leather UMD case looks very much like a small purse.. I can see it now."Hey buddy nice purse! My mom has one just like it."
I KNOW! I KNOW!
PSP: Prada Storage Pouch. LOL
yeah, i agree about the magnets, god forbid they just use snap buttons
"wheres my father?" AP
"Your vaja?" GM
