If you're not satisfied with the wireless capabilities of your PSP, then you might be interested to know that some of the developers from AcidMods are working on a project called the Internal Bluetooth Mod for Sony's PSP handheld.

In a video uploaded by the developers, they take viewers through a quick presentation of the Bluetooth capable PSP in action. Using a pair of modified headphones and a special Bluetooth transmitter attached to the PSP, the AcidMods team was able to feature the streaming capabilities of their little project.

So far they've only been able to stream music using their customized Bluetooth transmitter. Who knows? Maybe someday they may be able to stream other media like videos or even other homebrew apps through this project.

For those of you who are interested at taking a look at the technical details of how they were able to piece together this particular set up, the team from the AcidMods forums have posted a step-by-step tutorial on how they were able to do it. You can check it out through the read link below.

"working on a project called the Internal Bluetooth Mod for Sony's PSP handheld"

Wow catchy title, wonder why they called it that.

I'm with HitDyl, not impressed, not only are they using something you can buy already, they are trying to make it look high tech by soldering it to the board. Just plug it in you retard.

What next, they gonna botch a video sender on the new slim and say it's new technology?

 » So yea....

Well, it did get blown a bit out of proportion. i was just tired of using the stupid dongle, so I decided to make it internal. Yes, I know Its a simple mod, but there is no reason to call anyone a retard.

I didn't post the article so don't flame the modder. At least I'm trying to expand our console's potential. If you don't think its that great, oh well. Get on Acid mods, and help me think up something truly revolutionary.

 » Cool.

I'd be interested in the power consumption stats... I've noticed bluetooth can devour battery power at a rate of knots. Hopefully this mod will do better...

 » Ouch...

Nice work you seem to have done to your LCD man.

» It's not meant to be real impressive...

It's a proof of concept, it's just there to show that it can be done.
