Here's a rather cool, if unwieldy, mod for the Sony PlayStation Portable. QJ.NET forums member TokyoDrift has posted a video on the PSP Development forums showing an unmodded PS/2 ("PS/2", not "PS2") mouse connected to a PSP.
The video also shows TokyoDrift playing through Coded Arms using the mouse. Pretty cool, really, even if it does seem a bit cumbersome. Here's what TokyoDrift has to say about it on the YouTube video description: Okay. That's it. I fixed all the bugs and made a hooking plugin. I can play games using the mouse now. When the plugin starts the mouse is being re-initialized, that's against data inconsistency. It all works so far. The next thing will be making a circiut board. Check it out below. You can also head on over to the PSP Development forums to discuss this mod. Visit: QJ.NET PSP Development forum Related articles:

As a PC gamer, I have to say that nothing compares to having a mouse for FPSs... this mod is awesome, keep up the good work. Now, if he can just make the circuitboard more portable...

Some devs "reset" their firmware and settings and stuff to test their programs in the "native" environment before releasing it.
He may have done it.

Many devs reinstall a new firmware every week or so. Going through the hassle of installing a custom theme and stuff like that is not worth it when you now you will restart from scratch in a few days

» future idea for sony?
i smell a possible new attachment for the psp (but it did take a while for the official sony keyboard to come out [which is sometime this year]) but i agree with 73N5H1 we just gotta wait for it to be more portable.
