I've used crash bandicoot as base.pbp,
and Destruction Derby worked fine..
Tekken 3 mini iso didn't.. :( I'll try to grab my original..
100NES games also worked.. was a bit slow.. since it's a PS1 homebrew :D
gonna try Mortal Kombat 2 in a minute.. :D
nice work Dark_AleX!!
Happy Holidays everyone! *
in your face!..lmao
I need to get me a 4gb memory stick. I wanna relive some classic PS1 games.
All of these PSX games are too big for my tiny 256mb card.
please can you share a tutorial on how you did it and what apps you used? When i try loading games the screen is just black (dosent freese) i know i have done something wrong. :P please share your experties.
The games you must be using are probabally PAL instead of NTSC...
the popstation will take bin/iso and certain others as well. So take your bin or iso ( I recommend bin format, I had quite a few black screens with iso format).
Run your command line as usual and convert the bin into an eboot.
Once created, copy both the eboot the keys.bin into a folder in PSP/GAME on the memory stick.
It should work just fine.
how do u create eboot with ur original ISO? wut program?
that crappy cell vid actually looked better than most the other emu vids ive seen on this site recently
That cell's quality was better than some of those huge camcorders that some use to show these things....
why doesnt anyone post a vid of a good game like:
gran turismo 2, or Final Fantasy tactics.
Final Fantasy tactics. works great !
Hee hee.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v+0uZQE9WcZzc
It works very well indeed. :)
works evin better than on my psx buut i do have a off brand model. cant wait to get my first disk of ff9 back from a friend. hopefully there aint no problems with playin it. but tactics is perfect.
I cant even update to OE-B... it says Game Cannot Be Started... yes I have OE-A and i put the file into psp/game but it just wont start!!
hold right trigger on boot and change 1.50 kernal game folder boot to 1.50 not 3.02.
a$shole
you have to place the update folder in the game150 dir even tho there is only 1 folder
Get the update here http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid+11922 and place the OEB_UPDATE folder inside your GAME folder it should look like this: X:PSPGAMEOEB_UPDATEEBOOT.PBP than just run the update. I hope that will help you.
thanks dude rofl im just a noob :P
Looks like it's a problem on QJ's end of things, the link is automatically mutated. Replace the "+" with a "+" and the video should work.
For the hell of it I'll try again:

yes, i got FF7 to work, full speed, sound, :) everything, beggining intro, amazing!!!!!
Me to ! My DREAM COME TRUE !
FF7 on PSP ! DA God Bless You !
Some one who has a video camera post a Video of FF7 and put it on Youtube and correctly put the link in reply! I Sooooo wanna see this. You know If it runs 2marro I'm buying a second PSP just for Homebrew. Please make sure the youtube link works before posting it. ^.^;;
Does POPS support disc changing for multi-disc games yet? I'd love to play FF7 as much as anyone but getting stuck at the end of disc 1 would be a major issue.

This was posted and buried in the QJ comments.
"Joe" posted the comment.

There's a working link for my vid. (Somehow the equal sign turned into a plus sign in your link, Shamoo.) Forgot to login when I posted that, ah well. But yeah, there's the vid, living proof that Christmas '06 is a day that won't be forgotten for the PSP Scene...
And in response to dixiechicken, it shouldn't matter if there's multi-disc support for this. At the end of each CD, you are given the opportunity to save before switching discs (most games do this, some don't. The FF's are in the clear, though). At that point, you'd shut the system off and replace the EBOOT with the next disc's. ;)
Looks like it's a problem on QJ's end of things, the link is automatically mutated. Replace the "+" with a "+" and the video should work.... not sure why it does this.
LOL jkoz i posted your video on soooo many gaming sites. It had 22 views when I first starting posting the link. LOL. It's at 342 now haha.

Really blurry, but meh.
thx for confirming xenogears, now gotta go to my collection. By the way the opening is damn long
I had to use a .bin instead of a .iso though it may of just been the program I was using.
Also, the music is really crappy sounding but that's because the range on the PSP speakers suck. When using headphones the game sounds perfect.
how in the hell do i get the keys.bin file!?!? and hot shot golf w/e?!?
all this cool stuffs b coming out lately and im stuckwith a 2.8 ta-082.. i feel like i got ripped off
Hell yea
is the ff7 file i have a 1 gig is that alright?
They come upto 730MB max. (One disc, you won't get all 3 discs on, that'd need a 4gig card.)
Anyway why post videos of everything you find works? Most games do work, very few don't.
gosh i love duke nukem, I have all games, besides the DOS ones and Duke 3D :P
Sucked. I remember my friend's little brother paid $40 for it back in 1998 or 1999.
i just ripped the gran turismo 2 simulation disk to an iso from my own disk, and used the hot shots method and well GT2 runs! seems flawless so far (no speed issues).
In case anyone was still wondering if these games worked, I took a very simple video of both games, mostly of FF7.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v+w4hiOe06TJ0
yes, most games at least have 'problems' with many not working.
i have tested a few, i got ff7 to get half way through intro: my heart broke... ff8 didn't run... ufo:enemy unknown runs but some of the text screws up etc.
basically you need ntsc games! it's not a good thing... but it's not the end of the world, there's always the internet for acquiring other iso's.
ff9 ntsc works like a dream btw - really, i was feeling like death when my pal games weren't playing ball, then i remembered my ntsc version of ff9! hooray
Post a video link and put it on youtube.
wrong url
here is the right one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4hiOe06TJ0
I got Final Fantasy : Tactics, Castlevania : Symphony of the Night and Vanguard Bandits working perfectly.
I'm currently converting Breath of Fire IV ^_^;;
The only problem I've encountered so far is that I'm unable to run PSP Guilty Gear XX #Reload off the XMB so I have no choice to move on with Guilty Gear Judgement which takes more space off my memory stick and I don't really care about the scroll-fighting game that's in it! T__T
Peace~
is a Up on the memory limit on the duo slot. Get it to accept 137 gig + so someone will make a Duo to Ide HD :-)
the first ripped PSX game I threw on worked like a charm: VAGRANT STORY!
there's a tiny little bit of slowdown at times, but so far nothing that makes it close to unplayable. slowdowns have occurred before a battle with a big enemy gets going, and when you enter first-person view. otherwise it's running marvelously...go rip your copies now!
Recorded a video, title, intro, and first battle. Would've caught the victory fanfare but the memory card ran out of memory!

QJ BETTER PUT THIS LINK IN THE POST!!! I'm showing all my friends this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-gYz5Kk7zE
Here's a video of Tales of destiny. I'm also showing off CWCheat, the screen sizes and the button assigns. Just so people who are thinking about getting or want to know about the PSOne emu, can see what it can do for now.
I just uploaded it, so you may have to give it a bit.
Great vid man, good showcase. God I love this!
This game actually pushes off beautiful graphics for the ps1... and this was actually the first game i converted.. hahaha but yeah.. works like a charm ^_^
Camera Phone so it probably records like at 15 FPS or less. I can this:
A game either runs at 100% speed or not at all. (though some GFX issues occur on PAL and certain titles)
And RE2 starts but freezes inside the police station. I think that has something to do with the pre-rendered backgrounds but I dont know.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jv9u81yJVWw
watch there... better than both SvR games taht have been released for PSP :D
My old Silent Hill works! Wow, looks like the original.
I am impressed
these games work as well on my 3.02 OE-B PSP. D_A, you're the man.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z-HHUtX01E
this is one of my favourite games and it works! us ver is all i tried. only one small prob and that a small but of what sounds like backfeed coming out through the psp speakers every so often, not a huge prob though cos it runs at full speed. thanks to sony for creating the emu but bigger thanks to dark_alex for making it what it should have been in the first place, you are a god for us us gamers, thank you.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=nVDZ4f8WBHU :)
Heres my youtube video of a few games running on PSP:
Gran Turismo 2, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Metal Gear Solid
