This could just be the biggest week ever for PSP owners, nope, not because the list of this week's releases is massive, but because this week, the Big Boss finally slithers his way onto our PSP's!!! Yep, as we've been saying (repeatedly, if I might add) in our previous Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops articles, the game will indeed be heading our way on December 5th. And not only that, the loyal followers of the Force will also be glad to know that Lethal Alliance will be hitting shelves this week too. And, and, if you want the very beautiful Jaime King to grace your PSP screens, you might wanna grab a copy of "Bulletproof Monk" too. This week's release list may not be massive, but hey, quality is still better than quantity, right? PSP Game Releases:

No doubt, wrestling has been quite an appeal to most people. Of course, others complain about its blatant violence, yadayada, but that doesn't overrule the fact that wrestling is a form of entertainment, and people are attracted to it. There's something intriguing about the carnivalesque display of bodies smashing and bashing each other, in defiance of society's stringent norms regarding what to like, what to display, and what to think.Okay, forget about the pseudo-academical stuff I just mentioned. Let's go take a look on the real expert's take on the said matter, as our source recently had an interview with THQ's senior brand manager Tracy Muniz. Thanks to wrestling's casual fans! Next Gen reported that there has been an increase in demand for THQ's Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 (released for the PSP, PS2 and Xbox 360), and Muniz attributes it to the "casual fans": people not really into hardcore gaming or fanboyism, but those who watch WWE and are probably into fighting games as well. Moreover, the next gen release of the said game to Xbox 360 boosted further interest due to the "snazzy graphics." Continued growth by reaching out to casual fans. Muniz says that because "the real growth on an annual basis comes from those casual fans," THQ is going to focus on reaching out to that particular audience more, while maintaining the hardcore wrestling fans as well. |

Here are more screenshots that will surely fuel your appetite for some professional body-slamming wrestling action. For all you fans out there, you only need wait a little longer, cause THQ's WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007 will be making its way to PSP and Xbox 360 fighting arenas later this year. This latest installment of the WWE SmackDown series promises a lot more interactivity in the arenas, such as fighting from within the crowd. One major feature included is the use of environmental "hotspots" such as the ring ropes, steel steps, and scaffoldings that players can interact with. Other than that, signs and objects from the crowd can be used to beat down the opponent. For the online modes, voice chat will also be available in order for you to be able to communicate with other players. This game certainly has upped the bar for interactive gaming. But in the meantime, sit tight and have your fill of these action-packed screenshots. Pre-Order: [WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 (Xbox 360)] Pre-Order: [WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 (PSP)] |
