With a tad bit more of hexing, you can also change the colors of the waves.

» Readme is confusing
I read the readme but the instructions are pretty vague. I opened system_plugin_bg_deflate.bin in 'hex workshop', but i dont understand what "offset decimal 530 through 716" means exactly. I've messed around with hex editors a little bit prior to this. If anyone could make it a little clearer that would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

I remmember something like that on 2.82 CFW by some dev. just before 3.XX oe series released.

I've been wondering this too, even after reading through the forum topic twice seeing people have the black background and waves, i still don't understand how to get this.
Anyone care to help?

If what you ment is having a pain black background wih the XMB wave still on. This was done by D'Arcs X-Flash Series. It was. "Replace 12 month backgound to plain black" then after you exit X-flash you have a plain black background with XMB waves.
But my question was having my background picture of my pet for example. set as the background under "PHOTO" opion on XMB. After that the XMB it set behind that image. So it's no longer visible. Removing the vshmain.prx file from flash0 stops your PSP from booting entirely. I wouldn't recommend it. Provided you don't delete the file you can recover it by pasting the file back across to the right folder.
